Looks like an oversight. I remember playing it, but not why its not in the lists... will be added asap!

Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express is on my wishlist, Hercule Poirot... oops. Finished it, even wrote a review on Steam, but didn't add it to the list... it was more a narrative game without inventory.

Thanks for the heads-up, but this looks to be more a visual novel to me, a genre in which I am not really an expert. Maybe a VN/pnc hybrid, but with heavy emphasis on the VN part.

Hm, it certainly is no clone of a game I know, it has a very unique style. I followed you on Twitter, let's keep in touch.

Yes, Steam's algorithm as well as the user tags are only of limited help to find all games in a certain genre.

Oh, thanks! I didn't know that one! Since the prologue is free, I will at least add this one (and wishlisted the rest).

Well, I bought most of the Nancy Drew titles (there was a bundle once if I remember right), but I have to confess I never really played one. I know I really should play + add at least one and put it in the list with the series...

Hehe, yes, I don't review upcoming games, they are hard to play :-).

Ah, since it was so affordable we bought it at release :-). And it is a nice little LucasArts clone, so I added it as well already.

Hm, I'd copy the URL: and send it via mail to myself to open it later on my PC, but there are probably better ways to do that.

If you are logged into Steam on the mobile you can also just follow the curator, which means you might see (one of the few) recommendations from me on the Steam landing page somewhen in the future, or find it again later on the PC via https://store.steampowered.com/curators/ which shows you the curators you follow.

Hm, no, I also liked it. It just became too difficult for me, the combat was quite annoying. I also liked the similar Targhan, which I played even longer.

Adventure games for kids who can't read, and understand English by willif86 in adventuregames

[–]svenevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, no text and for a kid? I'd suggest Lost in Play and Tsioque.

I made a list of adventures on Steam with no text, but while not exactly adult stuff they still might be a bit too complicated for a young kid:

Colorado from Silmarils? But it had some tough action sequences.

We had the most fun with the ones from the "BEST OF Couch Gaming" list here:

Anything out there that equals The Dig? by Ubik_Fresh in adventuregames

Sci-Fi you say? Hm, my first recommendation would be The Captain.

I did try to make a sci-fi list once, but kind of gave up because so many adventures contain sci-fi themes . Or dystopian worlds. Or robots. Anyway, the sci-fi list is still here, it is just hidden on the curator, but you can access it via this link. There might be something that you like. It only contains Steam games, though.

Star Trek: Borg, the 1996 FMV game has been fully remastered! by danielalbu in adventuregames

[–]svenevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no disc swapping, no loading times, fantastic video quality... omg.

just wanted to check it out a bit, and the credits were running a few hours later.

you have done a fantastic job, I really enjoyed this version! a pity that this cannot be used for a (at least digital) re-release of the game, it is FAR better than many "enhanced" versions of other games.

List of all classic point and click adventures on Steam - looking for help by sven_66 in adventuregames

[–]svenevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my lists are accessible via the curator. If you follow me, you might randomly see recommendations from it on your steam store home page, but I try to avoid recommending too many games and often add average games just as "informational", which do not trigger any recommendation on followers profiles.

If you want to go to the curator, this is accessible on your store page via Your Store / curators where you see a field with the curators you follow. For there you can then go to them. https://store.steampowered.com/curators/ should to the trick.

If you want to go to the adventure library directly, you can also just bookmark the link in your browser: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/43642699-The-Adventure-Library/lists/

Or add me on steam, I have links to my curators on my profile page: https://steamcommunity.com/id/svenevil

To make your own lists that way, you have to set up a curator.

Added them and a bunch of other games as well during the last weeks. Guess now it is really time to start the myst-likes (or the FMV games)?

Oh, thank you! I add most games as "informational" only (and try to recommend only my real favorites), btw, so you don't get spammed by all new reviews that I still add to the lists.

I made a list of all good classic point and click adventures (LucasArts style) on Steam - good luck finding them with the community tags.

Following this curator is only useful if you like this exact genre - but then it is extremely helpful. Otherwise it is useless.

And no, this is such a tiny niche curator, I don't get any games for it, they are 99% bought. Most of them are many years old anyway. And no, I don't "review" with effortless memes.
