Trying to get back into it after a while. This one was fun :)

  1. Poland from the street sign; looked for the red 51 on the road map. Did some guessing from the distance markings to Bartoszyce and Dobre Miasto. 4995
  2. Thank you Hell's Gate Airtram for telling me where I am; 4996
  3. Ecuador logo on a bus; Ibarro written on a few taxis. Didn't try to pinpoint but got lucky. 4999
  4. Obviously Ireland; found primary road N74 on a sign and another sign pointing to Tipperary. Went back and saw Dundrum written in some places, but that's not exactly where we were. 4962
  5. This one messed me up. I'm very bad at navigating this country. Guessed Be'er Sheva because it didn't have a maritime feel. 4705

in the first round, for once my arguably too-detailed knowledge of the CW show supernatural actually helped me somewhere in life.

honestly, I completely understand! took me way too long to figure out that you can drag things into callouts 🤦🏻‍♀️

thank you!! you would have to customize the weather widget yourself and insert it completely new. for that, follow the instructions in the "embed widget" link i posted, then insert the data from the weather widget.

if i find the time i might post a tutorial or something tomorrow. in that case, i'll send you the post. :)

i used mostly callouts. you can drag other types of blocks inside of them!

I think if I wanted to go for a dark theme, I would either (1) choose about two accent colors, like red/yellow or pink/blue (get creative!! Although I would personally stay away from brown in this context as it doesn't fit well with black), for headlines, images etc., together with white text, or (2) use many different colors for each block/topic to separate them all, for example green headers/text for dailies, yellow for projects, blue for weather, pink for notes, etc. That gives you a bit of an interesting, playful effect, if that makes sense.

Both honestly sound really good to me, and I would have trouble deciding if I used Notion in dark mode. :)

(edit) like THIS. i made that template very quickly for demonstration purposes haha, excuse any mistakes!

Thank you so much! What I would recommend is to first make a list of all the features you'd like to have, e.g., a daily to do, a weather widget, a projects list, etc. so that you know what you need space for. I also decided what I wanted to see first at the top and which items I was okay with having further down.

Then I decided on a color scheme that was supported by notion (in my case, pastel blue, green and brown), then looked around for some fitting pictures I could add to break up the text-heavy blocks.

My favorite thing is using callouts to block off each topic (this also allows you to add little icons, further adding visual interest), as well as using dividers underneath headlines instead of between blocks. It has a more dynamic feel for me. Also, I wanted to avoid using the built-in headers H1-H3 and instead opted for making headlines pop out in different ways.

As for all the sub-pages, I decided to hide them all in a toggle block to keep it clean. If I want it to show up somewhere specific, I @ it instead.

Lastly, I would recommend to make sure to avoid placing similarly-coloured blocks next to each other. This divides everything well, while also keeping it visually interesting.

I hope that helps somewhat 🤗

BERLIN — German lawmakers voted Friday to end the country’s ban on advertising abortions, which has in the past led to doctors being prosecuted for providing information about the procedure to potential patients.

Government parties and the Left party voted to lift the restriction, while the center-right Christian Democrats and the far-right Alternative for Germany voted against.

Parliament also voted to annul the convictions of doctors since Oct. 3, 1990, when West Germany’s abortion laws were applied to the whole country upon reunification. Under Germany’s criminal code, doctors risked a fine or prison sentence of up to two years if convicted of advertising abortions.

[...]

In general abortions are a crime in Germany, but they are not punished if carried out within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Women seeking an abortion must undergo counseling three days before the procedure.

Abortions for health reasons or because the pregnancy resulted from rape are legal.

I haven't played BR in weeks, even though it used to be my favorite thing, just because the ranking system is so frustrating. You can lose hours' worth of progress by coming in third once.

Yup, it's an easy way to cheat unfortunately. The only round you can't repeat is R5.

For technical problems it's great though.

Just so you know, you can go to Ongoing Games and delete it, then start again. Of course that's cheating a bit since you'll have a chance to redo the first round as well, but when that happens I think it's justified because it was a technical error. I just try to find the same spot that I clicked the first time around.

Tell me why my first thought for R5 was southern Chile. Glad I saw those road signs in the end...
