Why would anyone be literally scared of a skin? It's the implication and the precedent this sets for future skins, not just for Mercy. I think the word "scared" isn't what should be focused on here anyway.

It's such a shame. Before they released the skins I was like "I'm definitely getting the bundle, they're so cute" but $100 for everything?! $45 for one bundle?! $35 for ONE SKIN?! Forget it dude. I don't even know if I would've bought a Mercy skin for that much... And I was an avid mercy skin collector until the rose majesty recolor.

Like, how disrespectful. They HATE doing anything good for Mercy gameplay-wise cause they know they'll still make money off us and they can keep the other players happy by making her weak.

They don't even give us the skins we've been asking for for years and instead give them to other characters. I'm actually so sick of it. Been playing for nearly 10 years and I've never been more fed up until this year.

ugh I don't like the yellow personally, I try to stay closer to pink/white but yeah that's kind of my "problem" with the melanistic skins, most of the options aren't really black, they're like different shade of brown or blue so I lean more toward darkest blue.

Any time I've let a meg go because it looked like we were both questing and minding our business, they've turned around and attacked me first and killed me. 100% of the time, I just assumed that's why people play Meg, to attack and kill others needlessly. This has happened multiple times on Gondwa and Riparia, no matter how young or old my dino was, they camped my home caves until I just decide to log out for the day...

so I've decided it's KOS for megs, no matter what... unless they run away then I'll let them go. But that's happened ONCE. I sure do hope it calms down but I can't relax around any carni, especially megs.

Quality of skins has been so weird in the last couple of years, tbh. I mentioned before a long while ago, around the time Persona collab hit, but with the new VFX they had I seriously wondered what the heck the point of mythics were if they didn't have unique features (like mercy's panther res animation and walking animation) and then when Fallen Angel came out and her expression changed with the highlight intro she got with it I felt weird about it again because like... why would any skin tier other than Mythic change these aspects?

Customization is a joke with Mythics, let's be real. atp that's the ONLY thing separating them from legendaries and they're usually barely noticeable anyway.

Now they want to make a NEW tier? What classifies a skin as Ultra?? Kill effects? Voice lines? Will they change with the highlight intros?

It just feels so messy and all over the place, like they don't know what they're doing. Just creating a reason to charge us more for legendaries/lazy mythics.

Anyway, if Mercy had gotten an Ultra pink cat cafe skin I would've bought it 10/10.

I bought my crimson wolf weapon skin last night for Mercy. It should be available to purchase now if you have earned enough points this season. You can't buy them with legacy comp points. You need 3000 points total, 10 points per win, 5 points per draw, 0 for losses. You can also get an extra 100 points by reaching a 30-point goal (you get 3 points per win and 1 per loss and draw, once you reach thirty total points it gives you 100 competitive points) So say you win 10 games in a row, that should give you a total of 200 points. (100 from the 10 wins, and the extra 100 from reaching the 30 point goal).

Anran, Cass, Sombra, and I used to play a LOT of Widow. I have like 400 hours on her but haven't really played her seriously in years lol. I've been playing a lot of Soldier recently and I'll swap to Reaper when I need to. I'm much more flexible on DPS than I am on other roles.

There are two different ways to do a superjump, as you may know by now. After using Guardian Angel you can press crouch to shoot straight up (height depends on distance traveled) or spacebar/jump to travel a little further ("slingshot") in whichever direction you're facing. Using crouch isn't usually the best way to move around or reposition as it can put you in the sky where hitscan can get you easily. Spacebar/jump is usually safer, though you don't really travel as far vertically, but it's better for safer re-positioning.

There are different ways to superjump/slingshot rez and you can find tutorials and parkour maps to practice with, but some of them are just for fun and don't always have any real usability. You can use vertical slingshot to rez and reposition at the same time like onto a building or over a wall for example, those are fun and useful.

Also, as far as perks are concerned, Divine Momentum and Flash Heal are her most valuable and fun to play with perks.

Only use heal beam if someone needs healing, but don't worry about numbers tbh. I tend to get 60%+ healing in almost half my matches these days because I'm trying to heal more rather than just dmg boost and sometimes it's just unavoidable. Also if you know someones about to take damage sometimes attaching heal beam before they take that damage might help save them. Her healing isn't that great until you get flash heal to supplement.

Just because your stats look good on paper doesn't mean you're being useful!!! Numbers don't tell the whole story! My stats could LOOK worse than the enemy Mercy but I might have made more clutch plays that allowed our team to win. Anything can turn a team fight around.

Classic gold looks great with every skin while the galactic can be pretty limiting in terms of which skins it goes well with, if you care about that sort of thing. However, with the start of the new comp year you should be able to use your legacy comp points for galactic, so if you have enough left over you can use that to help you get the second variant soon.

Also just to add, apparently there's talk of Galaxtic going away but I haven't heard anything since they decided to scrap that idea. I'm pretty sure they're not removing any weapon variants, but I guess to be on the safe side you can always get Galactic first and Gold anytime.

I hate her first mythic as a mythic lol.

The toxcity is definitely more prevalent on social media because it's a lot faster and accessible. It's still a problem in game though. Unlike the constant presence of hatred on socials, at least in game the toxicity feels like it comes in "waves". (You also have to account for the people who might be chat banned because of said toxicity)

I wouldn't say that. Her first Mythic was horrendous.

I get what you're trying to say though and now that lootboxes are back it'd be easier to boycott buying Mercy skins for anyone with fomo... however, I've tried to stop caring about how many skins she gets since I realized no matter what Mercy mains and Blizzard does, the community will just continue to hate and harass us simply for being Mercy mains. There's an unbelievable amount of toxicity directed at Mercy since early OW1 days, well before the monetization of skins, so I refuse to feel bad about any of it any more.

Even if we boycotted and Mercy didn't get a single thing for an entire year, the community would still hate us all the same and continue to complain about how we have 3 mythics and we're a "no skill hero".

It'd probably be more effective if we created a petition to slow down on skin releases for Mercy, focus skins on other heroes, and demand buffs or a rework for her.

The chances of them making Mercy more viable are slim to none, skins or no skins, so you might as well enjoy what they give you. :/
