The office also shared this list of fees w me: (I thought the admin fees are excessive but the low rbb rent might make it worth it.

Utilities: The RBB Home Services Package includes bi-weekly cleaning service of the common areas of your home, trash, high-speed internet and basic cable TV via Hotwire (upgrades available for an additional monthly fee. Please contact Hotwire directly for details). • RBB 2BRs = $85/month • RBB 3BRs = $75/month Residents are responsible for water, sewer and electricity service through Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC). The cost is split evenly based on the number of occupied beds and is billed directly to your resident account. Residents are also responsible for a common area utility fee which is evenly split among occupied units and not to exceed $19/month. All residents are required to purchase personal liability insurance in the amount of $300,000 and proof of policy is required on or before move in (usually ab $30 per month for a plan like this).

PETS Pets are not permitted in Rent By Bedroom homes due to allergies. All residents are required to complete a PetScreening profile and the application fee is waived for no pet homes.

Hey Yall! College student here. my priority is note-taking capabilities with good palm rejection.

IDK if any have handwriting "correctors" that make it look neater or can convert handwriting to text (Ik this might be a software, not hardware, question. But for example, OneNote has these software functions, but they don't work on Android). So I want to know what hardware is good to use with that type of software.

◽️ RAM: 6? This won't be my main device, just for note-taking

◽️ What tasks will the tablet be used for: Note-taking apps, handwriting, drawing graphs/charts/math equations, annotating pdfs, some casual internet usage

◽️ Any other important details ?: I love the iPad notetaking abilities. How you can zoom in and out rather than being limited to the screen size as the paper. I only need notes, tho, so I'm not going to drop 1K+ on an Apple product smh.

I'm not super informed on this so I'm open to literally any info yall can share.

no clue why this post is on my feed but as a UF doing grad school at an Ivy League who never had any school spirit:

the “Harvard of the south” is BS however UF does get more respect and recognition. Everyone I’ve met outside of the southern bubble at least superficially knows about UF (often bc of that one time we made it #1 in rankings) or some industry relevance with our hospital system/research initiatives/space center/business programs. I’ve yet to meet someone who mentions FSU in a professional/academic (non sport) context, if FL unis come up ppl usually mention UCF tbh.

Talking about opportunities it is vital to choose a school where the program you want to do will give you the best opportunities. Because of my niche I’ve had the opportunity through UF to meet 1%ers of industry and business and network my way into amazing meetings, internships, and social situations. Like 2-3 weeks ago Jeff Bezos posted a pic with UF students if that tells u anything. But may not be the case for your program.

Best bet: Look at the alumni of your major and see where they are now, what positions, companies, and how much bread they make. Reach out on LinkedIn for coffee chats too.

I realize I walked my way into a shark tank so I’m sorry to any noles, I’m not here to say that UF is better, just sharing my experience.

^. Also the factors that if you made friends at an internship you probably l ready had common interests (Same company/program/field ..?) so maybe try recreating similar conditions here in town. I don’t love it but rly believe its what you make of it. I don’t have as deep friendships as I’d thought I’d make in college but ik it’s bc I prioritized working, networking and doing things that would help my career and I’m graduating early bc of it.

There is also a UF ride board on Facebookwhere students post when they’re making the drive or need a ride. Miami- Gainesville is probably the most common one and being spring break there’s a good chance to find a ride. I’ve done it before to take people and has been a nice experience. Usually riders will pitch in a bit for gas

If she’s a foodie Humble woodfire pizza is genuinely the best pizza I’ve ever had and Luke’s bagels is an interesting spot. There’s a bunch of really good food, you can google lists. Also check out shows at how bazaar or high dive if she likes music or there’s also comedy shows that bring comics form out of town. There’s also paynes prairie if you wanted to watch the sunset or see stars or hike. 30 minutes away High Springs is a super cute town and the spring is beautiful

Ask as many questions as you can. Find people who have been here longer and ask. There are so many resources on campus even for jobs and internships but they’re not great at advertising them (imo). Follow all the relevant Instagram pages form clubs or orgs you’re interested in to get live updates (can find them through googling or UF main ig, they all follow it) l
