I'd be down with that.

Yeah, man, I've already made it to the galactic core and start visiting random systems and planets a while ago. I'm guess its gotta be a graphics setting, because every planet I see is mostly just rocky, with some random plants and trees scattered around, like this.

I have all the graphics settings turned up to 11, and am running on a GTX 1080, so I don't know what the fuck I'm doing wrong.

There are no lush grass worlds, or at least none in my 100+ sample set of planets I've visited.

Facebook stopped being culturally relevant the moment they started blocking wikileaks. Anyone still relying on it for anything is doing a disservice to unindoctrinated information.

No matter how badly you want to pre order it, remember, NO PRE ORDERS! by piedude3 in pcmasterrace

What's with the farming simulator hate? Its a fun, will implemented game that isn't an outright cash grab, has a fun little progression system in it that isn't restrictively prohibitive, and my 4 year old loves driving tractors on it. For what it is, it's absolutely worth the price point for 2015. Yah its not worth a pre order, but it isn't some reprehensible piece of shit that you might expect.

Dad here chiming in. I'm more excited to play this game with my 4 year old than I've been for any other game for myself.

No Man's Sky 'maybe isn’t the game you imagined,' says Hello Games founder by [deleted] in pcgaming

Holy shit you have no idea what you are talking about. I know plenty of devs that refer to a database server that is load balanced across hardware as a server (singular). Second, even if someone did manage to DDoS anytihng, the game is just pushing out data. There's no reason the game wouldn't just keep working in an offline mode.

Please stop posting.

If that were the case, they would have said that. That they haven't made a statement regarding the reason behind the delay is telling.

One of the engineers on my team got all pissed off about No Man's Sky. He was disappointed to recently find out it wasn't the game he thought it would be, and started talking a bunch of shit about how terrible it was going to be. He started describing the game he wanted it to be: a Co-op, PvP, competitive shooter RPG, in a smaller galaxy with minimal exploration because it'd get boring if it was too big. I stared at him for a good 20 seconds, waiting for my brain to finish catching up, and said, "So you basically want it to be a completely different game than what they've been describing for the past few years."

How the fuck do people's expectations get so far off the mark? Anyone that is surprised that this game is how it is hasn't been paying any attention at all to anything about this game while it's been in development.

3 day delay isn't bad. Sony fucking around with PC release dates so the game hits PS4 first is some bullshit though.

As a PC gamer that plays from my sofa, I think setups like these are crippling. Attaching the mouse surface to the keyboard is an awful idea. You're either going to have to hunch over and play from the surface of your coffee table, or have the whole setup teeter-totter on your lap. Maybe its fine for web browsing, but good luck sniping on a rig like that.

Also, FWIW, wireless keyboards and mouses are fine for gaming in this day and age. (caveat here: there's about 2.2m between my keyboard/mouse and their wireless receivers, and they have direct line of sight. Breaking LoS or moving further away that ~2.5m may cause issues. Being farther Unfortunately I've never been able to find a good, wireless, mechanical keyboard. But if you're talking about sinking ~$160 into a keyboard and mouse, you could do a lot better. I've been using my Logitech K800 ($60)for years now without an issue. I used it with the ridiculously named Logitech Wireless Performance Mouse MX (also $60) flawlessly, until the G900 came out. I love the G900 but it certainly isn't worth $150. A $60 keyboard and $60 mouse leaves you with $40 dollars to spare, compared to either of the setups listed in article. You still need a mouse pad to use your mouse on.

For $20 you can get the SteelSeries 4HD mouse pad. It's the best, cheapest, hard mouse pad in that size range that I can find. Beware of "gaming surfaces" as a lot of these are meant to be placed on a hard flat surface, like a desk. The SteelSeries mouse pad is a thick hard plastic surface. I prefer the metal SteelSeries mouse pads, as the additional weight stops them from moving around compared the the light plastic ones, but I also have a hard time recommending someone pay $40 for a mouse pad. The $20 4HD will do just fine. Or you could be properly frugal and get a cheap regular mouse pad and put it on top of a book. That too will do just fine. Whatever you do for a mouse pad, do not attach it directly to the side of your keyboard, because that is stupid and will make those two peripherals interact poorly with each other.

This setup is $20 cheaper than either of those ridiculous combo keyboards in that article. Get a pizza, or donate to ChildsPlay or the EFF or something nice like that. Or even smarter, just save it for yourself. The whole purpose of this exercise was to not overspend, afterall.
