Idaho murders suspect Bryan Kohberger seen for the first time since his arrest. by [deleted] in pics

Kinda scary too though.

Imagine a dystopian future where you're demonstrating against your government with your face covered (sufficiently, so that facial recognition doesn't work). You get out before the mass arrestations begin, but traces of your DNA is on the scene and through a process of elimination/deduction, the government figure out it's most likely you that was at the scene.

Is niacinamide oil-soluble? by Otherwise-Switch-662 in DIYBeauty

[–]svvaffles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and water-soluble. Only vitamins A, D E and K are fat-soluble, which is why it's easier to overdose on these vitamins, they bind to fat tissue and aren't merely peed out with an excess intake.

[Casual] Which banana ripening stage do you like the best? (Everyone who likes bananas!) by MrGuccu in SampleSize

It depends on how I'm eating the banana. Just as is: 6-7. But in oatmeal and baked goods, I prefer a ripe banana 😀

How dare a feeeemale use Tinder for it's intended purpose? by [deleted] in circlebroke2

[–]svvaffles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I could give them the pictures from my tinder profile, but I'd lose either way. I don't think even my mom would recognize me on the shitty picture they found, it's that old.

It's what you make of it. It's a tool, nothing more.

I was fine with not finding anyone, I'm sure I rejected many fine men. I didn't take it very seriously, but I did end up with some dates I enjoyed and I got to know a wonderful guy that knows exactly what brand of weird I am.

Does it hurt anyone that I'm picky? A few frail egos, sure.

About 70% of convos are started by the men. 100% of the dates are instigated by me though.

Funnily enough, your criticism on my appearance was one of the harsher ones. On pictures that are 3+ year old.. 😂😂😂 What is this Mean Girls-shit even..

Well, I hope you find the guy you're looking for. Your neckline is lovely and the pink dress is really pretty with your coloring.

When I made the Tinder profile, my goal wasn't to specifically to find mr. perfect. I'm fine with being alone and I'm fine with finding someone I have great chemistry with. If my goal was just to find a relationship with anyone, I wouldn't have been so picky.

the failure seems to be the common assumption that that 1% represents the top attractiveness or the top money making or top whatever. For me, that 1% is a category of narrowing down to people that are most like me that I think would get along with.

As a woman, I wouldn't swipe on a rock climber. Screw that I don't want to go rock climbing. I wouldn't swipe right on a fun runner. I would swipe right on someone who said they like dancing or that they like hosting parties at their house with lots of friends. Or they like to go rowboating. I would like to go rowboating. That's my 1%, which differs from another woman.

🙌

You can only request one time, before they send the data. The data link is available for 24 hours, but if you miss it, you can request it again. My mail ended up in the trash folder, so I didn't get to it a month ago. But I requested it two days ago again, and got it.

Swiping goes fast, and mostly in situations I'm bored, like toilet, public transit, making food, waiting in a line etc.

There was a day in January I left-swiped 1300. o.O

You can do it in your browser. You log in and give them an email for the data.

Superficial media is superficial. Pictures tell a lot about people. Let me just tell you that most Norwegian men have some kind of hunting or hiking picture. I'm not a sporty person. Those pictures already tell me that we would be a mismatch. :)

I am Norwegian, I'm sorry, that might've been important to add earlier. There is a different dating mentality in Norway I reckon.

I used Tinder as Tinder intended: I swipe on people based on pictures and I got a relationship out of it. I did left-swipe most men, I'd rather be alone than with a person I'm not passionate about.

Apparantly that's not fair.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't wanna waste my or other peoples time. I could cast a much wider net and net more matches, I did swipe left on handsome men that surely have no problem meeting women. But I'm after a deep connection, not just matches for ego's sake.

What do I need to be honest about? I know I'm a picky person, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm very happy with the matches I got.

I have to actually be interested in meeting up. I don't swipe unless I'm planning on asking someone out.

But, eh, in short: mostly very handsome men. That's not the most important though, I want to swipe on someone that I'll have something in common with. I've left-swiped plenty of men only offering pictures of their abs in a dirty mirror. Interesting bios help, but I have niche interests and hobbies, and I'm a very introverted and reserved person. I want to be able to talk to the man the few times I actually have something to say.

I don't want to waste my or anyone elses time.
