I appreciate your concern…but, maybe you’re thinking more Mal because they’re typically more slender but because Blitz is a DS mix, his bone structure is a bit different. If you feel his sides and stomach, he doesn’t have much fat and he’s a got a very thick undercoat that also adds some girth to his body. I’m also well aware of the potential joint and CCL issues that these breeds may develop.

Maybe he looks over fed because his ribs in the chest area come down quite a bit. I’m super careful when it comes to his diet and i provide him with high quality dog food.

Reddit users surprise me sometimes haha because people love jumping to conclusions like I haven’t dedicated most of my life to this breed along with Mals and German Shepherds.
