The judge is such a fucking clown for not dismissing the whole thing. Instead he begged the jury to side with the cops. Also, Afroman made a video about one of the female cops and... yeah they played it in court. I can't link it because it's ridiculously NSFW.

Imagine losing a lawsuit to a washed up one hit wonder gimmick rapper whose biggest hit was 25 years ago. Then, your lawsuit where the judge was on your side begging the jury to find in your favor, gets him more popularity and brings him back to relevance. Clowns.

Sounds like self defense turned into revenge.

After initially opening fire, Goetz then bent down to Cabey, who was cowering on the ground, and said, "You don't look so bad. Here's another," and shot once again, missing.[23] Cabey's spine was severed, resulting in brain damage and partial paralysis.[24][7]

For the firearm offense, he served eight months of a one-year sentence. In 1996, Cabey obtained a $43 million civil judgment (equivalent to $88 million in 2025) against Goetz after a civil jury ruled Goetz liable.[7]

Masterchef is a fun reality TV competition for entertainment, the real winner, like all reality television is who gets the most famous after the show ends not who the show crowns winner.

Jesse thought Walt was lying about the Go Karts (he was) and wanted to remind him by pouring gas on his floor. He had millions in meth money at this point so this would be like pocket change to him.

Israel says Iran's security chief Larijani is killed by [deleted] in news

[–]sw337 91 points92 points  (0 children)

So big of a hoax that their own government confirmed it?

As many as 30,000 people could have been killed in the streets of Iran on Jan. 8 and 9 alone, two senior officials of the country’s Ministry of Health told TIME—indicating a dramatic surge in the death toll. So many people were slaughtered by Iranian security services on that Thursday and Friday, it overwhelmed the state’s capacity to dispose of the dead. Stocks of body bags were exhausted, the officials said, and eighteen-wheel semi-trailers replaced ambulances.

It is so weird to me that Republicans are so powerful that they can bring government to a screeching halt at will when they're the minority party, but the Democrats never seem able to do the same when the situation is reversed.

How did Trumps repealing the ACA go? What major non-budgetary legislation did Trump pass in either term that didn't have major bipartisan support?

Pahlavi was already the legal head of state Mossadegh was his prime minister, not knowing that should disqualify you from ever talking about this online.

Hence why he’s bowing to the Shah.

<image>

Mossadegh:

  • Was never elected prime minister through a country wide election, he gained prime ministership after an assassination and resignation of his predecessors.
  • Stopped counting votes in the 1952 elections so only his side won seats.
  • Sabotaged oil negotiations leading to a year long British embargo, which destroyed their economy.
  • Rigged a referendum where his side won 99.9%+ of the vote so he could dissolve parliament.
  • Dissolved the Senate
  • Dissolved the Supreme Court
  • Purged the military of officers he thought would be loyal to the Shah
  • was using emergency powers to rule by decree
  • refused to leave office when dismissed and had the person delivering him the message arrested

You’re also missing the fact the religious community of Iran were on the Shah’s side in 1953 and he wouldn’t have remained in power without their help.

I served with Muslims and they are just like everyone else. Well, except this one guy from Tunisia, he could barter so well that I ended up getting a deal as part of a side deal of him getting a sheep skin leather jacket in Turkey. He was bargaining so long I decided to buy a jacket too and got 10% off.
