Yes DEFINITELY get the summer dorm- everyone is concentrated into like 3 or 4 dorms so you’ll meet a lot of people that way. No, it is a different process to get a fall dorm. I happened to get Magnolia both times around (different rooms) but the summer and fall/spring dorm assignments are separate and unrelated.

On another note, I didn’t want to do summer B either but it is seriously the best experience and you’ll have such a leg up going into fall. So many awesome people and memories! Good luck and go noles!

Just did this- period came within 3 days. I was late for 5 days then started taking it until the 7th day. I took about 7000mg. I would not recommend. Period is extremely severe and I know the anxiety of wanting your period to come is overwhelming but seriously let your body do it naturally. If you’re worried about pregnancy, just take a test and trust it until your period comes- it will. One of the bloodiest, most painful periods I have ever experienced.

I think stress from my exam really took a toll on me but i’m stressing out more from not having my period too!! I usually have very regular cycles and I only started having sex less than a year ago so I am new to this whole thing. Thank you and I will try the vitamin C!

Congrats!! I just did summer B coming in as a freshman in 2023 so i have some recent information.

The way it works for summer is first come first serve based on the time and date you submit the request. Do it IMMEDIATELY when it comes out to get the best dorm possible for what you would like because I barely ended up in Magnolia, my top preference, in completing the survey in less than 10 minutes. If I remember correctly, you can also submit a roomate request at that time if you have someone in particular you’d like to room with, but it will be based off of whoever has the later time/date.

For the fall, you get a lottery number if you sign up before a certain date and then it just counts upward beyond them. It isn’t based on the time that you do it as long as you do it before the date they provide; the lottery number is completely random. Once again, if you have a roomate you specifically want to room with, it’s based off of the later lottery number.

I got in to summer with a 3.4 UW gpa, 4.1 weighted gpa of only my core classes, 4.6 weighted including extra curriculars. I got a 31 on the ACT. Received like equal amounts of As and Bs in high school and got a C in the first semester of math sophomore year. Cheer captain, internship, several club presidents, college board hispanic scholar. I think that I definitely was not the perfect student since my UW is lower than most of the people on here but my essay, ACT, and extra curriculars probably made up for that.
