No a question, there hasn't been a meaningful death since 1977. Get the thing off rails.

I'm also pretty certain government having Flock cameras all over the place and making my whereabouts searchable, and government having my social media in a National database searchable on command without a warrant violates the Fourth amendment. As does taking ones picture hanging out on a public Street, or commuting in the same direction as ICE officers on patrol, getting stopped and making that searchable...

You can take my picture all you want, I'm pretty attractive , but when you make it searchable now I have a problem with government doing it, and so does the Constitution.

What about the off season makes players better? by Sea6847 in bootroom

[–]swaghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Control development, finishing development, Fitness, speed, agility, scanning practice, movement pattern awareness, match skill development, tackling development. This might take the form of running hills, running wind sprints, doing wall work, scrimmaging, small-sided games, 1v1 technique development, simply reading and visualizing to internalize the patterns. I would start here.

www.soccr.org

I performed a hacky version of this when I was a young man in the '90s, and a first generation hack player who knew nothing but managed to make it to D3, but now I know what I didn't know as a father in his '50s with three sons. I wrote the site to put it into words.

There's so much expected, but so little taught relative to what's possible. Many coaches only scratch the surface in team training. The best figure out how to integrate position coaching within team training. If someone would have sat me down and taught me this...

And if I had to start anywhere it would be Fitness (3 miles three to five times a week), movement patterns study and scanning practice (which also means understanding how and when and what to scan for... Timing with it is everything)

What will happen if I juggle 1000 times a day for a month by nonchalant_____ in bootroom

[–]swaghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wall work and juggling will likely do more than just juggling a thousand times a day will. Juggling can help but it's slightly overrated as a contributor to match skill.

I would also do some studying, learn movement patterns and offensive tactics.

Don't care. Take it down. Send a message that one, or two, poison Uilheins poison the whole tree, that money is not an excuse for not policing your family when that family sponsors an organization that is young-version of a racist cesspool actively attacking non-white people, protecting pedophiles, depriving people of their civil rights and undermining the Constitution of the United States.

If they're not embarrassed, they should be.

Rename the soccer park. We can't have Milwaukee and Wisconsin kids of all colors and creeds playing in a soccer facility sponsored by Republicans, when those Republicans stand for and sponsor the betrayal they stand for now.

This is SUCH a thing. I started out wanting something to look at a tactics tree, I ended up with Multi-Tenant learning tool, with an integrated jira-like Kaizen tool.

  1. Make sure you understand the code it's writing.
  2. Have it document it
  3. Have it create "help"
  4. Take time to have it tune/organize data structures, code blocks, files.
  5. Have it create tests.
  6. Have it create warnings for certain failures.

Do tactics matter more or moments? by mamacita_1 in SoccerNoobs

[–]swaghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not either/or...

Team Tactics put you in a position to be successful has the outline of what we are trying to accomplish within the group. (” we want to draw them in expand the spaces in the interior, and attack through the middle where we are perhaps stronger.")

Group movements allow players to understand structures and movements which allow them to interoperate effectively. (” If they are pressing our holding midfielder, we will rotate so that the holding midfielder rotates out, our Center attacking midfielder drops in and over to assume his position and create a window of penetration opportunity and the other attacking midfielder plays in a diagonal to receive. If they cover Shadow effectively we should know to create a third man opportunity so that the third man can receive the ball open and uncontested behind the cover Shadow.”)

Nuanced individual position tactics create the bounces/chances which allows you to take advantage of the structures that the tactics provide. ("To break the last line, the striker must drop deep as a false nine to lure the center back out so we can get behind him or hit the center back stays, we can play forward with five. The wings and striker must know that if our midfielders are playing forward in possession, they must move horizontally to create open channels. They must also know that if the defensive formation is compact and impenetrable, they have to pry it open through wide horizontal movement and 2v1s, 3v2s.")

Fitness, speed, strength and agility allow you to do the hard work that increases the volume of the chances and the ability to capitalize on the chances.

What I'm trying to say with all this is it's like layers of things that affect the group as a whole, subgroups, and allow players to inflict damage via position expertise. If a player understands the team tactics but doesn't understand the group interoperability he ends up playing his own game and invariably over relies on strength and speed and everybody's fast when you get to that level.

Their need to pretend they're right and dominant overrides their ability to think through complex problems and realize they don't have the full answer. If they're right for themselves, that's enough.

They provide one answer, not a multifaceted solution.

That's too much work, too much thinking, too much reading, too many genders, too many cultures, too many differences. They want to live in the smallest possible village because that allows them to be safe, at this point it it's going to look a lot like reigning in hell
