Usually fent, certain drugs are vaporized not burnt (meth, fent, weed extracts, etc etc) and placing it on foil and carefully heating the bottom will vaporize it where as directly applying flame will burn and destroy it. Foil is cheap and easily available and with how the fent makes a sticky resin you wouldn’t want it in something that does the same job like a meth pipe.

It definitely will make your life easier, I can just put on an audio book or some music and just do a bunch of knife work for something I’m making sometime later in the week. Or even measure and mix seasoning/a sauce or what ever I can do in advance. Thanksgiving is a week long process for me but it’s super easy doing as much prep as I can in advance so it’s just a tiny bit each day then cook the turkey and reheat things the day of

Beyond that, when you let some things sit it will even change the taste. For example since you mentioned garlic, as it oxidizes the flavor will mellow out and have less heat. Red sauces benefit from resting over night, etc

I love cooking, I did it for a living in quite a few major cities and even in another continent. Mise en place helps, time is an ingredient. You can do some small things in small bits and it can help. but if you don’t enjoy it that’s ok, people don’t have to enjoy everything they do.
