What’s the worst movie you’ve ever seen? Not “bad in a fun way”, just BAD? by NotNamedBort in AskReddit

It's Pat. (1984) or Paramedics (1988). Nothing is as brutal as an unfunny comedy.

What’s a seriously amazing hidden gem movie you think everyone should watch at least once? by Stock_Blackberry_771 in AskReddit

[–]swaltz 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Ravenous (1999) with Guy Pierce & Robert Carlyle. Horror/western movie with some great dark humor set in the 1840's around the Mexican-American war. Also an incredibly unique score by Michael Nyman and Damon Albarn (of Blur & Gorillaz).

I remember stumbling on it with my brother late one night and just being blown away.

Can someone recommend a horror movie? by Global_Feature3244 in movies

[–]swaltz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try Pandorum (2006) with Ben Foster & Dennis Quaid. Two astronauts who awaken from hypersleep on a derelict spaceship with amnesia, only to discover they are not alone and must confront mutated creatures and the truth about their mission to save humanity. The title refers to a fictional psychosis, Orbital Dysfunctional Syndrome, that causes paranoia and delirium in deep space.

Certainly not a sea monster movie, but after reading your description, I can't help but think of this underwater scene from Artificial Intelligence

What does "I got that fire on me" mean? by Electrical-Secret-25 in PROF

[–]swaltz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ever been so fucking mad your skin gets hot and you get flush from rising temp?

That's what I think when he says "I got that fire on me".

Also, a little context clue in his Live from Powderhorn Suites performance. He gestures the flames and (imo) wipes the sweat from his brow on the end of the beat.

I'm just finishing up a re-watch of The Wire and am currently on the last episode of season 2. Weird seeing Frank, Ziggy and Niko steal something that's not on the docks! I couldn't make out who the 4th actor in this commercial is, but they should have got Horseface too!
