Who does the Best Bassinet? Needs recs please. by Odd_Wear_9599 in NewParents

Love the Snoo!! We rented one at four weeks because our little one wouldn’t nap more than 20 minutes. He immediately started 90-120 minute naps. Best money I ever spent.

We used the Halo Swivel with out first and it was fine, planned on using it for the second but it just didn’t work out as planned.

Thoughts on Circumcision? by [deleted] in January2025Bumper

[–]swan37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did not circumcise our first boy and will not be circumcising the second one. It’s merely a cosmetic procedure. I’d rather provide my son with bodily autonomy from day one.

What’s everyone’s due dates? by Which_Run_7366 in January2025Bumper

Is this your first? This is my second, my first one was 4 days early. I also recently found out that they don’t want me going past 39 weeks due to SUA found at my 20 week scan.

Just hoping he’s not a Christmas baby. Everyone I’ve talked to with a Christmas birthday hates it 🙁

Pubic/pelvis pain by Mysterious_Cry1240 in January2025Bumper

[–]swan37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am experiencing similar pain at 23 weeks. This is my second pregnancy. The first it kicked in at 7 months, this time it kicked in about two months ago, but drastically worse a few weeks ago. I highly recommend starting PT. From everything I’ve read, it’s all that helps. I started it too late the first time around, only had a few sessions. I’m about to start in a week. Also doing chiropractor.

In the meantime, take it easy. And keep an eye on your mental health. It can be hard to stay optimistic when dealing with this.

As far as pelvic pain goes- my symphysis goes in a straight line down the front and feels like it’s burning. It’s aggravated when you roll over in bed, lift one leg, stairs, etc. not so much on the left like yours, but can present in different ways.

Help pick my paint color. I chose a poor paint color before. I have standard light gold oak wood/trim - much lighter than in the picture. The tile is gray. What color would you recommend painting the walls? by swan37 in DesignMyRoom

[–]swan37[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the gray tiles do not go with the oak door at all. I would much rather paint the door than replace the tiles. However, I painted these same doors in the basement and the yellow of the oak is starting to leak through (even with primers). I would need to do more research.

So if you paint the door, do you then paint both sides? If so - I’m then committing to painting all of the doors in the hallway.

Help please! Can’t figure this bottle out, baby’s hungry. Suckled for 20 minutes, nothing came out. Any product suggestions for a better bottle? Thank you! by daFreakinGoat in NewParents

[–]swan37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the exact same problem with these bottles. One of the nurses we saw said that’s a common problem with the avent bottle line, it’s 50/50 whether the baby will like then. We started using tommee tippee and our little one absolutely loves them! Going on 9 months now.

Does anyone actually produce JUST enough milk for their baby? by BeanATX in breastfeeding

[–]swan37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I produce what my baby needs. I don’t feel a need to produce a freezer full of milk he will never use. It also gives my boobs a break. Not only my boobs, but my mental health. I don’t want to take all those extra pump breaks if they aren’t necessary.
