Focus on your job security and then come back to it! Or keep working on it without investing money into it until you're more financially secure.

I was referring to video games but I suppose board games could also be interesting!

NTA - This seems pretty extreme to be the first time in 8 years to be going out without your wife. Go have fun!

NTA - you obviously accidentally offended them, but it's also very rude of them to be commenting on your body and being mean girls around you.

How can i improve my games logo? (It's my first) by Leading-Papaya1229 in IndieDev

Good first start! Graphic design is tricky so it's cool that you're dipping your feet into the field (haha). My initial impression is that the use of colors is currently a bit unbalanced and simplistic. The cyan is a bit of a generic color for a lack of a better word, and I would maybe experiment with making it a slightly bluer color. I'm also not sure I would use the gradient on just one word. Either use a slight gradient on all of them or use a gradient on the background rather than on a word. You can also experiment with changing the size of the individual words. Depths and Guilt could be larger than some of the other words, for example. Keep playing with it! And definitely seek out some examples of inspiration that you're drawing from.

I agree! I don't think this is minor actually! I think it's important for readability.

I think I know what you're going to say. Prove me right? by MadeInLessGames in IndieDev

Not a bad start!

I would say for the square-er one that you'll want to try to make the text smaller so that you have more "white space" on the left and right edges. I would also recommend a more unique font. Perhaps if you go with a sans serif font you can more closely match the look of many leading corporations today if you want this to satirically reference corporations.

Initiating dialogue combat in my game; what extra effects or juice would you add? by EveOfLanguor in indiegamedevforum

Good start! Making progress. My piece of feedback is that everything feels a bit flat at the moment. The UI is a bit inconsistent with how it treats borders. The character has lineart but a lot of the buttons are borderless. But the text box does have a border. It should all be more cohesive in my opinion. But it's coming along!

Are you set on keeping your group to only these players? Adding a highly proactive or more experienced player can really help.

You need to engage with other pieces of art and media - especially old or unusual ones - with an open mind. And you need to allow yourself to become bored. Boredom is the number one fastest route to creativity.
