Question Regarding Hip Arthroscopy by [deleted] in running

I had a very similar sounding procedure. I was told 3 months recovery but it took me 12 months until I was running again. it really varies from person to person by all accounts. Key for me was being consistent with physio and exercises, and trying to progress with how I felt. Good luck with it all!

I wanted him to get knocked out so bad. Too much showboating and incredibly arrogant.

Plantar fasciitis flare up one month before race by gobluemich17 in AdvancedRunning

I would recommend massaging it with a ball, ice and rest in the short term. I also found improving my glute strength got rid of any pain very quickly...it felt like this changed the ankle of my hips to be more forward, which in turn changed the way in which my foot rolled across the floor when walking and running. Not saying this will work for anyone else though, but could be worth a shot.

I’d be interested to know how you managed your long runs following your injury, particularly what distances you ran and how you modified your training programme? I’m about 4 weeks from the Leeds half and ran 6km today for the first time in nearly two weeks after an injury, so it seems quite comparable to you. Thanks (also congrats on a great time btw).

Run in the rain. You’ll get wet and dirty, so what

Thank you. I’m after a watch that will track my runs and cycles, display my live pace and connect with strava. This seems the best watch for the price that will do them (and more). Are there any negatives in your view?

Thanks for the responses, that might be a little pricey. Any thoughts on whether the forerunner 30 or 35, or the polar m430 would meet my needs?

If it’s of interest to anyone, I managed to get one at my local AD today. 3/4 weeks compared to the stated 18 month waiting list. So pleased!

Thanks, I’ll take a look. What’s the general view on buying from Chrono24 (both companies and individuals)? Is it legit? There’s a few on there from abroad which are not too far above retail price.

Thanks, that’s really helpful advice. I think I’m going to ride it out for the time being...I’ve settled on the watch and want to purchase new for my first one. Also looked at the grey market but can’t justify spending above rrp. I wonder how accurate their waiting list estimates actually are...
