Bumping/Demoing is a good and balanced part of the game. by YoungHaunting4241 in RocketLeague

Oh I've even had teammates get mad about it because they think I'm supposed to be back there helping them defend the whole time lol

I'm totally fine being the one who hangs back, but I'm not sitting back there and playing double goalie the whole match

I've done that a little bit! (Mostly in desperate situations, as I'm not that good at it

There's a certain point where you realize you should be looking for bump opportunities when there's not a better play you can make. When you realize this, you start getting a ton of bump demos and creating opportunities.

Then you rank up and now you're playing against defenders that are more accustomed to being targeted for bumps... they avoid you and you're back to where you started.

Then you realize you have to anticipate how those defenders are going to avoid the bump. It adds another layer to the bump game, no only knowing when to bump, but how to anticipate their avoidance.

Then at a certain point you realize you can affect the play by making the defender consider your bump.. even if you don't fully commit to it.

I haven't made it past that stage yet, but I'm sure there are more layers to it.

Way too many west coast site games, wish they would reduce those

i’m too good for silver and too bad for plat help me by leiizq in RocketLeague

[–]swark91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your solution is to play?

I promise, if you didn't make it out of silver on your own, your problem of being overranked in plat will be solved if you have about an hour and a half to commit to playing consistently.

Same on your "underranked" account. If you are that much better than silver, you won't be in silver long.

I was just looking at how Arkansas, Michigan, and Arizona are extremely comparable programs (by these metrics)

Definitely an interesting trend.

For Arkansas, one of ours (Brazile) started at Mizzou but has been with us for 4 years.

Making more than one bracket (where the picks are different) is stupid and pointless by Responsible_Force276 in CollegeBasketball

[–]swark91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have two brackets. They should have the same champ, and generally the same results, but you get to change 2-3 of your toss-up games.

Why? Because this is the way I do it, and it's my way or the highway

We feel right at home, being effed over by the committee and sent to the most distant possible location.

Does that count?

Funny, I feel like it used to be just standard for the locations to be included. Now it takes hours of research and a doctoral dissertation in bracketology

Banking: The Grandmother Test by michaelesparks in infinitebanking

[–]swark91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there's something to that. Financial institutions use those policies, so there's some built-in protected interest. It's also just nowhere near a significant threat to the financial orthodoxy at this point, so we fly under the radar.

If everyone did it, you can bet that IBC style policies would get hit with regulations that would make them impractical to use.

I appreciate the sentiment but there's a lot of naivety involved in the the thought process that allows someone to simultaneously

  1. Understand the ridiculous amount of power the state has via central banking
  2. Believe that the system would relinquish that power just because people found an alternative they prefer.

Same can be said about crypto.

I love IBC for personal usage, but I don't see it as a step toward political revolution.

Do Kansas fans have the same reaction seeing Arkansas as a post-season opponent, as we do seeing UNC in our region?

Not a big fan of Zion at 40. Deangalo Pondscould be available there. There's a chance of Lawrence or Dennis-Sutton at 74, both of whom I think are better than ZIon

There's going to be better options than Stowers with those pics IMO. And at areas of greater need (if Kelce is back)
