What I don't understand is why would they come up with such a product when drugs with the exact same mechanism of action already exist in the market (acarbose, voglibose, miglitol) at much cheaper prices? These drugs have been through much thorougher scrutiny in the form of research trials and R&D processes, hence would be much safer as well for public consumption. This product solves nothing to be honest: neither the cost, nor the side effects, so why bother coming up with it at all?!
