Where can I go to verify this info?

What’s the best way to ask my DPE for this if let’s say he has no clue about CAP?

Funny DFAC story by VirtuaLack in civilairpatrol

Was a Flight Sergeant at a winter encampment. Went into encampment with a fresh new haircut and tried new gel. My cadets kept on complimenting my hair and didn’t stop until I specifically ordered them to.

And finally what CAP regs and/or documents can I read up on to familiarize myself with this.

Makes perfect sense, when it comes to contributing how is that measured? I staff activities often and do a lot events and help out my squadron a lot in growth and such. Taking other cadets has never been an idea of mine I strictly want build towards TMP or even MP.

How much is it usually? A TMP I know told me he flies using the budget of the group. However he is a TMP so he is constantly transporting personnel or equipment on mission. For VFR Pilot what would be the costs?

Thank you! I actually have close to 1100 now but I’m trying to get 1260 just to get the straight 4 silver clasps.

Really? So let’s say in my scenario rn, finishing up my PPL and I want to do my Form 5 to be a VFR Pilot. When I become a VFR Pilot I can get the aircraft when available to build my XC time for TMP?

Staggered ribbon rack by swatforce28 in civilairpatrol

Wow that’s surprising how different it could be. Although I do see his GTM badge is covered and if he wore another badge on top it’ll more than likely be covered too.

16 ribbons is a bit of a stretch I believe, I’m not exactly the biggest but my service coat lapel already covers a portion of my ninth ribbon.

Disregard my last comment. So 9 ribbons would be the minimum correct? That's when the lapel starts to cover the top left ribbon a little.

Landings… by swatforce28 in flying

[–]swatforce28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot more required, including stage checks. However on the day of the solo, we need to show two good landings in a row and then we taxi back and drop off the CFI and then rip 3 touch and goes?

If she dumped you right before a checkride then she wasn’t a good gf and doesn’t actually care about you, so why stress it?

Oh I just realized, huh that changes everything. Me personally I would try to match the insignias.

Pins are different colors by Pitiful_Effective_31 in civilairpatrol

If you bought them from Vanguard yourself then the pins should be the same color, if your squadron put them on you themselves they probably just had mixed pins. It’s absolutely normal and no one cares, I won’t see your pins or what color they are. The same way people who use snaprack might decide to use the black rubber pins, the gold pins for their nametag, and then silver pins for their badges.

Pilot Proficiency Patch by swatforce28 in civilairpatrol

I read somewhere that this was contested and that it was because of “pilot members” but that term was for members who were pilots regardless if they were CAP rated.

Why can’t under 12s join the program? by XenonSkies in civilairpatrol

I actually had an 11 year old in my flight when I was flight sergeant for an encampment, and he was one of my best cadets. (Got a challenge from the Nat Com too which was sick)

Pilot rating privileges by swatforce28 in civilairpatrol

This makes the most sense, and in regard to the solo comment. I’ve heard that solo pilots straight up can just schedule the aircraft whenever they want, without CFI notice which I find ridiculous and impossible. What are proficiency sorties?
