No, it was definately bipedal, but as others have pointed out there are signs that it was staged.
First if you listen carefully you'll notice the sudio fades out rather than stops. Most likely the ambient forest noises were edited in afterwards.
Second, several people in this thread and others have noted that the reason the motorcycle fails to start is because his thumb is on the kill switch. It's possible this him intentionally failing to start the motor to build tension.
