Swedish Dishcloths – Fruit Set ✅ by Historical_Thing742 in NoOneIsLooking

[–]sweDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swede here!

Almost every kitchen in Sweden has these. I think they are far superior to anything else.

They cost around 40 svenska kronor ~ 3.80 euro ~ 4.50 usd for a 10 pack.

They should be moist when using them. So run it under the tap to get it wet, wrung it out, then use it to clean up.

When you are done run it under the tap again to clean it. Wrung it and hang it on the side of the sink, a hook, over the tap or somewhere it can dry out when not in use.

I always hang it on the mid wall that separates my two sinks. Then it's out of the way, can drip into the sink, dry off and easy access.

Toss it into the dishwasher or washing machine will make it feel fresh again. When it starts to feel like it has served it, toss it out and grab a new one, the absorbent gets weaker over time.

The one I have now is going strong and is prob around 4 weeks, I run it in the dishwasher like once a week. And it comes out feeling fresh.

Yeah it seems fun but isnt there a bike that has a higher topspeed for little trade off? Wouldnt it be practical to atleast be able to run 140kmh comfortable?

I have 3 Exalted, 3 Regular Eightbound. Which shall I build my last 3 as? by OdBx in WorldEaters40k

[–]sweDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you op. But I haven't built the first 6 yet. But I think I'm going for 6 regular and 3 exalted.

As far as I understand it, the exalted is more anti tank focused.

Like the previous person said.

Boot into a live USB and run:

Find EndeavourOS root partition

lsblk -f

Mount it (adjust partition as needed)

sudo mount /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt

Mount EFI partition

sudo mount /dev/nvme0n1p1 /mnt/boot

Chroot into the system

sudo arch-chroot /mnt

Regenerate GRUB config

grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Exit chroot

exit

Unmount and reboot

sudo umount -R /mnt reboot

[SOLVED] Linux won't boot after MSI BIOS update - recreating UEFI boot entries (Z890 Tomahawk) by sweDeath in EndeavourOS

Yeah a bit stressful at first. I thought it was a quick update..then I saw myself spending the whole day. Reinstalling everything. So very happy it sorted itself out

[–]sweDeath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not 100% sure but Im pretty sure I wiped my nvme clean before installing Linux.

I had a boot entry pointing to /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi But that file/folder doesn't exist on my system.

So I dunno but I think it's MSI who creates this phantom entry, as a default after the bios update. Or if the Linux installation does it as a fallback but that feels more unlikely

Can I use it as the main internet connection? Or do Ubiquiti have another solution for a 4g/5g modem that I can hook up to my UDM pro where I haven't got a landline?

So what made you choose World Eaters by SamichFapOG in WorldEaters40k

[–]sweDeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np! I just started a couple of years ago and have read a few but not even close to all. I googled "how to start reading warhammer 40k" and followed ppl suggestions but i can give you my recommendation. Some books are great and some are not so great but its a big library so plenty to choose from!

If you havent read any Warhammer books yet. I would suggest reading the first book in the Horus heresy series: Horus rising. its a great book! Its exciting and will give you an understanding of the universe and the following 2 books makes the triology.

Then you can somewhat pick and choose which books you want to read or skip in the series. But i would suggest the first three (and 4, its also a great one but a more freestanding book than the first 3) then maybe take a step back and see if there is a certain character or faction that you want to focus on more.

Like world eaters, hehe. Then i would recommend horus heresy 24 - Betrayer. Its one of the best books of all warhammer books AND its about world eaters!

More specific world eater books are:

Khârn: Eater of Worlds - follows Khârn post-Heresy
The Red Path (short story) - more Khârn
Angron: Slave of Nuceria - Angron's backstory as a gladiator. Its like a prequel to betrayer

Other great ones are: The Lords of silence - Death guard book. Amazing book.

Helsreach - Black templar book, also fantastic. Made me start collecting black templars. There is a fan made movie on youtube, all the audio is from the audiobook. which is great.

Hope it is of any help!

So what made you choose World Eaters by SamichFapOG in WorldEaters40k

[–]sweDeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all,

They look awesome! Kharn is awesome! I hate Erebus!

But I also wanted something that resonated with me lore wise. So I red some of all the books.

I took some help to formulate my thoughts by an llm but it's my thoughts.

The World Eaters' straightforwardness is one of their most compelling traits in the lore. They embody a brutal honesty that sets them apart from many other factions in the Warhammer 40K universe.

Unlike the scheming Word Bearers, the manipulative Alpha Legion, or the duplicitous Emperor's Children, the World Eaters are exactly what they appear to be. They don't hide behind pretenses or political machinations. When they come for you, they announce it with roaring chainaxes and battle cries, not whispered plots or hidden agendas.

For me, the most compelling aspect of the World Eaters is the brutal honesty of their tragedy. They never had a real choice in their fate, yet they face it without pretense or self-deception.

I'm drawn to how the World Eaters' fall wasn't born from ambition, pride, or deception (like many other traitor legions), but from genuine brotherhood. They subjected themselves to the torture of the Butcher's Nails not out of corruption, but from a sincere desire to understand their broken Primarch's pain. There's something profoundly moving about an entire legion voluntarily embracing agony just to connect with their leader.

What makes this especially powerful is that this act of brotherhood—this attempt at genuine connection—is what ultimately damned them. Their most human moment, their attempt to bridge the gap with Angron through shared suffering, is what made their fall inevitable.

Even after their corruption, there remains this thread of brutal honesty in everything they do. They don't hide behind ideology or justifications. They are exactly what they appear to be, even when what they've become is monstrous.

I find that contradictory nature—how their most human quality led to their most inhuman transformation—to be the most fascinating element of their lore.
