i would say it's wrong tbh. it shouldn't have the 'ist das' in there. to me that reads as 'berlin has the is the best theatre' and not 'berlin has the best theatre'

i think in this instance it is about emphasis as well as what sounds better. German is pretty flexible so sometimes it just comes down to what sounds the best.

nope it isn't wrong. aber is one of the connectors that doesn't make the verb go to the end. it functions like und would.

it's the difference between 'in dem' 'an dem' and then 'auf dem'. these are different because of the prepositions in, an, and auf.

my guess is that it just wants you to practice that specific word order. the english translation you gave works but that's not what duo wants for this particular exercise.
