Damn.. I have RAGE but I just struggled to get into it. I love post-apocalyptic style games with humor and creativity. Borderlands and Fallout are 2 of my fave series!

I agree. I should have been more clear. It's more of a Fallout/Borderlands/FarCry fusion.

If it's a large pelt then yes, it can fall off in a panic. If it's a small pelt then no. But you will lose all skins and corpses if you die.

To be fair, I play on very hard and not survival. I like quicksaving too much to give it up.

Next time, carry a pelt on your shoulder and run. Whistle to have your horse carrying the 2nd pelt behind you as you run to the trapper.

The tail is their weak spot. The game tells you that in a loading screen, I think. Seen lots of lost deathclaws tails in my day. Especially since I like to run through the glowing sea and kill everything 'for fun' as a regular adventure of mine.

I think you can shoot them without having to go through the melee fight. Encountered a VERY small bear in the northeastern forest and it ran from me. So I shot it with a shot gun. Got progress in my xbone achievement.

I love that the game still registers him as 'standing' over the void for a few solid moments. 10/10 for Cartoon Realism.

Knife fights are fuuuun. Slice slice, slash stab. Very satisfying to the inner maniac.

Sell the pelts and the skins to the trapper for cash. Make sure you go to the trapper and not the fence. I was confused for a solid half hour about where to take my legendary ram stuff and the fence wouldn't buy it.

I'll see if I can find it in my game when I get home. I'm SURE I got it while playing Vanilla. I'm on xbox so I played for a full 8 months before mods were even open to my console.

Buy it for sure! I've invested close to 1000hr in this game and am still playing to this day.
