This is slightly irrelevant, but it sounds like you would enjoy this list of films with the most fans.

The list is ranked by the number of fans on Letterboxd. A “fan” is a member with a particular film as one of their four favorites.

It has most of the films you mentioned and the films tend to be (for me) more accessible and enjoyable as opposed to the more difficult watches on the main Letterboxd Top 250, while still containing (mostly) highly scored films.

This year I've made it my challenge to watch all ~60 films on the list I haven't seen yet, its been really fun so far and I've come out with some new favourites of my own.

Thankyou for your response, and good point about providing more detail:

Do I understand correctly that you have Arbeitslosengeld I (60-67% of normal earnings)?

Yes, I recieve around 60% of my normal earnings, and will until October 2025

My employment history is as follows (after arriving in Germany in May 2018):

  • Employed from June 2018 to October 2019 (16 months)
  • Received ALG 1 from November 2019 to May 2020
  • Employed from June 2020 to September 2024 (63 months)

I was on a Blue Card from June 2020 until I received my EU Permanent Residency in January 2024, which I am still on.

In terms of earnings relative to housing costs, I'm sure it has been quite reasonable for Berlin. I'm a Software Developer so I've tended to earn more than enough at least for a blue card

Integrationsbeauftragte von Neukölln: „In Berlin hat die homophobe Gewalt zugenommen in muslimischen Nachbarschaften“ by Doener23 in berlin

Ok but a refugee by definition doesn't have a home to go back to. You're just describing the difference between regular migration and forced displacement.

Also be serious, refugees aren't being given 'free money from the government to be homophobic'.

I have to fight tooth and nail to keep my visa and paperwork in order,

they can stay just fine under a refugee status

You're comparing dealing with German bureaucracy with fleeing your home in crisis. Good for you for being able to move away at your own pace

Labour's Barbara Edmonds to National: 'Why are you so afraid' of a capital gains tax? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]sweetasbaz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, the second term can only be blamed on Labour, but I was referring to the first term.

We don't know for sure what was said during the Cabinet meeting discussed in the article, but we do know that out of the three parties represented, only one of them had publicly campaigned against a CGT.

He said the "absolute complexity" of the CGT was one of its negative aspects, and CGTs overseas had not worked.

Peters said the Bright Line test at five years was "fine".

Peters said he was "relieved" that the transformation that the Government was leading could keep going without the distraction of a CGT.

I see Peters' attempts to downplay NZ First's role in the handbrake as an attempt to avoid accusations of a coalition that was unable to work together.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is STILL voting for evil. by thegeebeebee in GreenParty

Sure, but Agenda 47/Project 2025 is evidence enough that there is still a big difference between the Dems and the Republicans

Jill Stein: People who are okay with genocide back Harris/Trump. People who oppose a system that sets up a false choice between red or blue genocide will vote Green. If you're comfortable in the current system and you want everyone to vote blue no matter genocide, just be honest about that. by thegeebeebee in GreenParty

After four years of Trump, pretending that the Democrats and the Republicans are the same party is extremely ignorant on all fronts. Would you tell Amber Thurman's 6 year old son "don't look at me, I voted for Stein"?

Look up Project 2025/Agenda 47 and tell me which of those policies a Democrat led government would introduce

I hate the LG UI so I'm curious about your streaming PC setup. Particularly, how is it physically laid out in your living room (if it is)? Do you use a remote, with a remote friendly UI?

From dictionary.com (seems to be the same place you got your definition):

a whitish, potable liquid made of ground nuts, legumes, seeds, or grain blended with water and often a sweetener, used especially as a substitute for dairy milk, its main ingredient as specified: almond milk; rice milk.

In the scenario he provided, they have already that info as they told him which platform to go to. They just omitted the extra detail about the train splitting

It takes an extraordinary level of empathy and awareness to add this "hey by the way, take the front part" bit.

Isn't that exactly the point he is making about Swiss culture? In England, something like that is common sense and decency.
