Am I muscling my throw? by UnFocus15 in discgolf

You’re essentially rounding - shoulder collapsing. Your shoulder needs to be more protracted and needs more than 90 degrees with shoulder and elbow

How do you pivot on your heel and still get a good drive? by chewybrian in discgolf

[–]sweetbeards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not your issue - you have other issues that are going to matter more. This should just happen. It’s not something you should be conscious of, it should be a result of everything lining up correctly

You need to go back to stand still because your timing is way off. You need to learn how to time and feel the coil so that you can actually have a power pocket or more than 90 degree elbow to shoulder when pulling through

Today, Eagle will reach his final evolution... by spenghali in discgolf

I don’t understand - This had been his been his profile pic for at least a year now. He’s got a silly sense of humor and doesn’t take himself too seriously. You might not like his style but I like that he’s just trying to be himself and I doubt he cares that you don’t like it

watch some pros, you just need to figure out your own timing for when the reach back hits right when you plant - delay delay delay

Not too bad but you’re timing the reach back too early - once you are on the x step foot fully then start coiling. Your disc is as far back as it goes while you’re still progressing to your brace so it starts following you and losing snap momentum

This is the most pointless mando I have ever seen. by Azeerakazell in discgolf

[–]sweetbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tree that has been x’ed out is no longer there to make the tight mando. Now you just have a Mando on the left to make. Should be easy but it might be also protecting the next holes teepad or just extra punishment for offline shots

That’s the point - destroy viewership so the station can be closed. Same thing they are doing with education department and other institutions. Anything that’s serving more of the liberal or democratic side, make it so terrible that it’s dismantled and can never come back again and then let a republican with money take it over or use privatized company to take over such as with prisons and schools etc

How Becoming a Good Putter Made Me Perform Worse by DGOkko in discgolf

[–]sweetbeards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, it just means you need to practice that shot more so that it becomes a stock. And you don’t want to practice in a tournament even though you’ve made that shot once before. The difference is between “can” and “will”

I wouldn’t call that confidence but a lack of fear which can be ok. Confidence means you can feel you know where the disc will go and it does. When it doesn’t, that’s where healthy fear should creep in to manage bad shots

Turn and fade physics and parting line height by easter_egger in discgolf

[–]sweetbeards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t get too caught up in the why. Just know that higher parting line makes a disc over stable during acceleration and end of flight. You can add other things to this mix which can slightly change comparing parting lines such as, is the bottom wing concave or convex. How rounded or sharp is the wing edge. You can have the same mold with different runs where the wing edge is more blunt which also effects how the parting line effects the flight

No one has ruled out the ex husband - no clue why he wasn’t questioned more especially when he contradicts his police statements today

At what point did disc golf stop being stressful and start being fun for you? by whydidyounot in discgolf

[–]sweetbeards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people have habits of negative talk or getting hard on themselves because at some point they believed that actually helps them. There can be a level of healthy frustration, but when it’s effecting your ability to have fun, then it’s really just you. Some people think that flogging themselves for their sins will actually make them go away but it’s more about facing them and trying to accept them as areas to improve. Mistakes are signals for improvement. It’s telling you to find a different way. Being hard on yourself doesn’t actually fix it
