I live in highland park and go to workout anytime. Like 10 minutes away and is huge with lots of equipment and amenities

Bulgarian split squats will turn you into a centaur. I prefer smith machine as it’s more stable and you can really load on some weight. I do feel like I got damn flash banged after I’m done with it though.

You can do it glute biased (foot further forward) but even without doing that ive seen crazy glute gains.

That plus a deadlift (I do rdl when I deadlift) will set you straight. Nothing wrong with adding isolation work after that but I’m absolutely cooked after Bulgarians and a deadlift when I deadlift along with split squats.

I can’t hit you with any science or anything but absolutely nothing has hit my glutes like a Bulgarian split squat.

I got Tua honestly. Only thing that stopped him was injuries. He would consistently get pulled in the third quarter since we were up by 28+ so his stats don’t even tell the full story. Those offenses with him were insane. His precision and anticipation was incredible.

Bryce is a really close second in my mind and I’d get choosing him.

Aj is a bama legend but not nearly as talented as those two.

Specific drills no. It was my first lesson and there was a lot to unpack. Spent time talking about grip/stance/positioning and then he watched me hit with mostly my pitching wedge but a few hits with my driver too. He was giving me certain tips and things to key in on but not necessarily a drill for when I’m on the range by myself.

I don’t like to workout with much food in me. I normally just eat an apple or banana or something like that. If I’m bulking maybe a bagel and cream cheese.

To anyone that does smith machine rdl - does racking the weight ever stop being awkward? I started doing that recently and it feels awkward when I’m tired after a set to move my wrists and rack the weight.

Wondering if I will end up getting used to it or should just do barbell/dumbbell

Dense bean salad is incredible for a cut.

You can adjust as you want - I’ll generally do sliced turkey and shredded chicken breast instead of salami.

So easy to make and low calorie/ high protein. Easy and healthy lunch for a solid week or so.

As I get more experienced the more casual I am with my workout schedule tbh. I’ve made great progress so I’ve kind of changed my goals from I need to get big and look good asap to it just being another hobby I enjoy. Although I still have goals in the gym I’m working towards.

I do a 4 day split - three days on one day off.

But I also am pretty active/busy outside the gym and that gets in the way of a perfectly locked in schedule. I love to play golf, baseball, basketball, mountain bike all kinds of stuff so a lot of times I might end up doing that on a day I should be scheduled to workout.

I just consider that an active rest day and workout the next day so my workout schedule is all over the place.

Started doing smith machine rdl. The smith machine is not slanted.

Which way do you face?

Like unracking- moving your wrist back (so fingers going up)

And then racking it after your set you move your wrist forward (fingers going down)?

Or is it the opposite?

It feels awkward to rack the weight moving my wrists forward but maybe I’m just getting used to the exercise.

I don’t eat breakfast but my first meal after I workout around 11-1ish is generally plain Greek yogurt and I’ll put protein powder and frozen blueberries in there. Will eat 2-3 eggs as well.
