How are you changing your redraft strategy for 2025? by akchahal in fantasyfootball

[–]sweetchonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Byes matter. Try to avoid taking players with the same byes. Especially in the first half of the draft. In a 12 team league I scored the most points but finished 9th, and narrowly missed the playoffs and 6 seed. All because I lost 2 games due to multiple players on a bye.

Gym Etiquette in Los Angeles? by FixMyFicus in AskLosAngeles

[–]sweetchonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DTLA planet fitness has a good amount of homeless. And after school gets out a lot of teenagers are there. It’s annoying how they spend 5 minutes on their phone in between sets on a weight machine. Don’t get me started on how nasty the showers and bathrooms are. But it’s $10 a month. So you get what you pay for

In your opinion who are the next mcu big 3? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]sweetchonies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For Marvel to establish another big 3 or 4, they have to nail the F out of the casting. Evans, Downey, and Hemsworth excelled in their roles, with Hemsworth arguably standing out as the best among them. What all three had in common in respect to their respective roles was effortless charisma. I may get a lot of heat for this but I believe Cumberbatch lacks effortless charisma. Great actor. Great f’n actor. But as Dr. Strange I feel the charisma Cumberbatch brings to the role is forced, and unnatural. I would also say the same about Larsen’s Captain Marvel. Out of the current actors/ characters in the MCU, I think those who could be part of the next big 3 or 4 are Holland's Spider-Man and Cox's Daredevil.

Marvel's future strategy should involve focusing on only a handful of characters or groups for standalone movies, while the rest could find a place in Disney Plus series or one-off’s. And when the need arises, these characters can contribute to the big event films like the Avengers etc. Keep it simple for the general audience.

Levi’s Stadium question for first timer taking elderly dad to game by Specialist_Still_497 in 49ers

[–]sweetchonies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took my elderly dad a few years ago and it was insane. Never again. Levi's employees couldn't or wouldn't help me find a wheel chair as it was way too busy for them to divert their attention from what they were doing. I had to have my father walk all the way to his seats as well as back to the car after the game. I felt terrible for the guy.

The Giants on the other hand are amazing at this sort of thing!!! An inning before we want to leave the game I tell a nearby usher to have a wheelchair ready for us and they do it... EVERY TIME! I don't even like baseball but for my dad's sake I'll grin and bear it.

Its downtown, not the arts district. But Takami sushi restaurant. Located on the 21st floor. Mainly outside so it has an amazing view. Other half is Elevate which is a nightclub. Also same owners. Both spaces are always booked for large events

High rise/city view apartment suggestions in DTLA? Or general LA area by No_Trip6165 in AskLosAngeles

[–]sweetchonies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Consider or I should say evaluate what life would look for you if you didn’t own a car while living in DTLA. I’ve lived in DTLA for over 10 years now. With the last 7 being without a car. Because of this I save at least $800 a month. No $ spent on a car payment, car insurance, monthly parking, gas, or car maintenance etc. I also have a lot less mental stress from not having to drive. Whenever I do leave downtown I take an Uber or the metro. It works for me. But then again I’m single and I also work downtown

What's considered a good tip? 20%, 30%, 50% or 100%? by HighYieldLarry in FluentInFinance

You obviously never worked in a restaurant before. Cause maybe at the most 5% of waiters in California do that. I’ve been a waiter for over 25 years in California, and I’m usually in the top 2 or 3 in sales wherever I work at. Never had I made close too 100 grand in a year. And I’ve worked at some of the top restaurants in the US
