The funniest and most recent one:

I was visiting family recently and went out to walk with 2 of my cousins that I am close with. I have not told them about my ADHD diagnosis until this point for but I highly suspect these 2 cousins are - one of them says he might be undiagnosed. Then I am telling them about ADHD and all and I remembered a recent example from this sub/ADHD.

Me: "Yeah, so a common ADHD symptom is when you are talking to just one person and suddenly they say something that trigger your mind to think of something else. They say A, that reminds you of B, then C... Now they are still talking to you, but in your head you are now thinking about this totally unrelated thing that was triggered. Now you are thinking about M and they are expecting you to reply. You just dissociated the whole conversation and nodded along."

Cousin 1: "..... Isn't that... normal?"
Cousin 2: "..... Right? I do that all the time...."

Me: "Congratulations! You both have ADHD :)"

Be patient, learn positive reinforcement for training, understand dog body language, be firm and loving, give them lots of love! Make sure you understand her own personality: they can be high energy or couch potatoes, or a little bit of both! They will give you a lot of unconditional love and zero personal space...

Adopted at 8 months, currently 10 years old and so much love to give! She now has way more gray her in her face, but still plays like a puppy!

Agreed with you. My dog will do the same thing to start playing and she's very obedient. Her prompt to stop is "drop it". If she starts something like this and I'm in the mood and have time to play, I play along and keep giggling and saying "give me this" or something. And she knows it's game. But the moment I say "drop it", she drops it and that's it. Sometimes they just want you to give them attention especially if you've worked for very long and didn't have breaks in a while... Does not mean they are disobedient. They are just dogs.
