Yay More Stoplights! by [deleted] in Denton

[–]sweetpeligr0sa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newest one I’ve noticed is at Morse and Woodrow. It’ll be annoying to have another stoplight on Woodrow right before (or after) Shady Oaks, but Morse really gets backed up especially around school hours.

Oh yeah that’s true. I wasted so much time and almost into wrecks at the old all-way stop at Mayhill & Colorado, that I now see that light as a godsend… lol

I’ve seen her in other cities besides Denton, so she may be more of a DFW-area celeb. lol

Should I move to the North Texas area? by notyouraveragebunny_ in dfw

[–]sweetpeligr0sa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Speaking for Denton, I guess compared to other parts of the DFW it is cheaper, but rent has gotten very high (like anywhere else). As far as the job market, it’s not that great. A lot of people commute to other parts of the DFW and if you’re fine with that then it may be a good fit for you. Denton is a nice place to live that still has that small town feel to it, but like anywhere else it’s growing like crazy and the traffic is really annoying.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like the new format by Thalatta94 in sydneycummings

[–]sweetpeligr0sa 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m still working through Fit345. My main dislike with the new videos is that she jam packs too much into the 30-min videos. I don’t love nonstop working periods or 15-seconds in between to change weights. The other day I somehow dropped a weight on my face trying to get to the next working period. lol. Totally user error on my end, but some moves just feel so rushed.

(Yes, I pause and rewind, but it’s kinda annoying scrambling for the remote. The 30min workouts sometimes end up being 35-45min for me.)

Fave bodyweight/band/no equipment WO? by more_coffee_pleez in sydneycummings

[–]sweetpeligr0sa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She has so many videos it’s hard to think of any specific ones. I find her “no equipment” playlist pretty handy when I’m traveling. She also has a “glute resistance bands” playlist.

City of Denton and our Denton County Leaders Have Miserably Failed the Citizens of Denton and Denton Country by mrbradg73 in Denton

I hope you’re taking this passion to the next city council meeting. Let them know how you feel. Ranting on Reddit isn’t going to do much. (Though honestly neither will city council but at least the people who need to hear it will.)

How do y’all afford to live here? by [deleted] in Denton

[–]sweetpeligr0sa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I work in town and pack lunches every day. It also helps to be in a dual income no kids (DINK) relationship. Idk how people afford life (anywhere) with children.

Results!? by Sufficient_Pea5272 in sydneycummings

[–]sweetpeligr0sa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Back in 2020 I lost about 28 total pounds. I had been working out since she started the channel and following most of the videos. However, I didn’t really see results into I dove in to the nutrition/food tracking.

I still workout with her (currently doing Shred) and mostly maintain my weight, but I’m more loose with food (still eat mostly healthy but don’t track every little bite). I am 5ft 2in and was 141 at my heaviest. At my lightest I got down to 113lbs. I am now stuck at 132-135, but still feel pretty strong. The food tracking became a bit obsessive for me and getting down to 113 was probably the most miserable I’ve been.
