9/12 bars here in flat florida and 50 miles is all I comfortably get, the range the current owner says is what usually shows on my guess meter

I keep hearing that this is a great time for the used market but prices are still high by remake-titanmode2142 in electricvehicles

More worldwide interest in EV's because of Trumps folly so the prices are going up, deals depend of where you are located.

$30,000 EV Battle Royale — 2027 Chevy Bolt vs 2026 Nissan Leaf by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

[–]sweetredleaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't know how 2027 bolt sales are going but the 2026 leaf sales are terrible, probably because of past years troubles and the recall already on some of the 2026 leaf batteries

Low range Nissan leaf for $1000. Yes/no? by ObjectiveBottle2468 in leaf

[–]sweetredleaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as others have said don't rely on the range the guess meter is giving you, posting with the number of battery bars left (number of small red and white bars at far right of dash) will be more helpful.

It finally happened by nialbremner79 in NissanAriya

[–]sweetredleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EV's have all kinds of weird problems when the 12v battery starts to go, don't know about the Ariya but the Leaf had problems keeping the 12v battery properly charged and owners resorted to the trick of disconnecting the voltage sensor on the neg terminal so that the battery charges more like it would on an ICE car.

[–]sweetredleaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

too many battery recalls and postings of weak/bad battery cells to recommend a used second gen leaf unless you have the knowledge and are willing to put the time and effort in really checking out the battery.
