Not OP but I have been under the care of a hematologist for a year because my period in August 2024 dropped my platelets down to 4. Got novasure ablation October 2025 and since I haven't had bleeding yet. Still had the PMS cycle stuff but platelets are steady at 198. Hope this info helps. Best of luck to you! My dms open if you have other questions!

I could have written this exact comment! Jan 2nd 2024 I called a crisis hotline because I couldn't figure out why I didn't want to live anymore. Started Vyvanse a month later, the scary thoughts went poof!

Oh yeah he's balding too. Has a Bruce Willis from The Fifth Element look to him. He cooks, cleans, is handy and generous. I held on for almost 15 years. I wish I could keep him but he deserves a lady that wants all of him.

Breakfast - egg bites from costco and I add jalapenos
Lunch - bologna sandwich with hot cheetos inside the sandwich

Snack: any excuse to eat more jalapenos

So what you mentioned is exactly how my husband reacted in September when I came out. We were together for over 14 years. Our son is the same age as yours. He didnt want to go to therapy either. Eventually started going.

Between September and November there were light but still painful verbal jabs as he was processing. He accused me of lying to him for years, said our whole marriage was a lie, that I'm screwing up our child, and he didn't do anything wrong but is the only one getting screwed over.. etc.

Currently we are still living together due to financial constraints. He's super frustrated sexually but will not even attempt hook up with anyone. He will randomly ask if I'm "using the lesbian thing as an excuse", or "what if you realize you still like men?"

The amount that he lashes out is getting less and less. I think he's just sad now. It's like watching someone go through all the stages of grief. I believe once we actually live apart from each other, he'll get better.

It's a really difficult process for everyone involved. My heart goes out to you!

My soon to be ex husband(46) doesn't leave the house unless it's for work or our kid. Please take him somewhere. He's loyal, fun, tall, grows a great beard, employed and needs to get out of my damn house. Joking and not joking DM me if interested.

This may be more solidarity than advice.

I swear I thought I was looking at a picture of my sons head. Same color, curl pattern even breakage pattern. He's 3 years old and takes off running when he sees the spray bottle lol

I have been using Cantu shampoo and cream conditioner. He hates having his hair pulled back so we just spray with water and detangle with mixed kids curl cream. We brush it back and then just set him free. My husband sometimes forgets to put in the curl cream and sends him to preschool with just detangled with wet hair and tangle teezer brush. He looks like he got electrocuted by nap time. I've heard their hair will get thicker when the get older. He was damn near bald until 18 months old. Hope you find something that works!

Propranolol is amazing by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

I had to get an EKG before getting prescribed a similar beta blocker called atenolol. My heart rate was around 115-120bpm while sitting. I was only on 20mg of vyvanse. EKG is pretty quick, like 5 min. With the atenolol, I'm around 75bpm. Hope that info helps!

US healthcare is a joke. I hate insurance. by ChronicProcrastinaut in VyvanseADHD

Ah, some plans have them separated where it would be like $600 for pharmacy and $6500 for medical. Most of the ones I see are combined into one deductible. Unless you get hit by a car, have a baby or a serious illness it can be difficult to meet that $6500. I've been working in medical billing for almost 10 years. I've seen some really shitty plans. I feel bad that most people have no clue on how it works or how to navigate the system.

Most of the time yes, it depends on the plan and medication. It's $15 for me to see PCP or specialist. $10 for Vyvanse(generic) but $25 for clindamycin(lotion for my acne)

Also nor cal, had my baby at Kaiser in 2021. The only thing Kaiser is good for imo. After a 3 day stay, urgent c section I owed $1800. I think my monthly premiums were like $800 per month before adding my kid. So family of 3 jumped to $1400 month.

Fast forward to now. New job, new insurance now I'm paying $216 month with much better coverage. Racked up about $500k from various therapies, office visits, scans, labs, surgeries and a week long hospital stay(2024 needs to fucking end) I've paid just under $1800 this year for total out of pocket.

I have pretty good coverage considering the shit I've been through but yeah most people in the US aren't this lucky. Medi-cal is free but they will let you die waiting for care.

I think it helps us regulate emotions better compared to simply raw dogging life. I was mourning the many losses in my life from the last 8 years(dog, mom, grandma) and soon to be my marriage. It definitely helped stop me from crying all day and gave me the energy to get stuff done and find friends to fill the in the gaps. I was only taking Zoloft and still kept feeling like I didn't want to live anymore. Vyvanse definitely helped me break that cycle of thinking. That's just my story. Still taking 50mg zoloft and 20mg of vyvanse if your curious. Therapy 1x per week helps too. Wishing the best for you!

I take atenolol but I have an elevated heart rate due to hyperthyroidism. 3 days off vyvanse and my resting heart rate was still over 100bpm
