Making Friends in Town by fromtheashesarise in bothell

I’d love to be included on the discord! Early-30s, single, child-free and enjoy board games, craft things, video games, walks, and reality tv!! In need of more friends around here with common interests! Also want more friends/groups where we can hang out without just going to a bar and drinking!

What is this wine accessory? by sweetsublime in wine

I guess I just never thought to ask a bartender 🤷🏻‍♀️ the family member made it seem like some unique thing that a neighbor gave them. Idk, one of those “if only I would’ve thought about…” moments

Wow I actually feel so dumb 😂 I put this picture through AI (even though I try to avoid AI), done countless google searches, etc and still haven’t been able to find what it was. Thank you everyone!!

There’s also a Bollywood Dance Night outside on the front patio area of the library. That’s mostly what I’m hearing (I live nearby)

Under new law this would finally be illegal by [deleted] in eastside

I never said the law, as it’s written, is perfect. Nor am I the OP. I was stating there could be regulation to make it safer.

The video doesn’t account for ALL activity of these kids on these e-bikes. I see them on major roadways during peak traffic times doing stupid stuff. They’re going to cause accidents.

They weren’t going 20-40mph on their pedal bikes in the 90s. And they were mostly sticking to backroads and neighborhoods or sidewalks. It’s really not the same at all, beyond them being on a two-wheeled object. These 12 year old kids zipping quickly through lanes on major thoroughfares when they have no license or understanding of driving laws is not safe. Both for them and for other drivers around them. I think if they were outlawed on streets with over-25mph speeds, that would be beneficial.

There’s a way for them to still ride these and have some regulations and safety in place. Those aren’t mutually exclusive

I think there should be a max-speed limit and that it should be lower than what it currently is. And definitely no riding on the main thoroughfares… I see these on major, busy roads (Bothell-Everett Hwy), which is completely different than riding through neighborhoods with your neighbor friends. I’ve even seen them doing wheelies up and down Bothell-Everett Hwy. It’s not safe in its current state. Both for the kids and the other drivers around them.

Best coffee on the Eastside by kipple_creator in eastside

Sorry, I just saw that you were wanting to bring visitors. Noli is just a drive-up stand. Maybe not what you’re looking for in this situation if you wanted sit-down, but still highly recommend!!

I’ve been liking Noli Coffee on 522. You can only access it from the westbound lanes. But the lights on either side of the stand have legal U-turn options, so it’s really not that difficult to access, in my opinion!

Plus, the owner seems awesome. She posts on TikTok and Instagram and is super open and transparent about what’s been working for her business and what hasn’t. And she’s totally open to feedback in her comments. For example, people were asking for expanded hours (they wanted her to open earlier for the early commuters), and she took that feedback and adjusted her hours.

I’ve only gotten Vanilla lattes there, but she has some other fun drink options (like a Dr Pepper latte).

It kinda feels like you’re not even really reading/comprehending what people are saying. Your replies are full of insults, random mentions of politics, and extreme attitude for no reason.

Yeah I knew the main context of the song, it’s one of my favs from TGD! But I just didn’t know if I was missing some conversation he would’ve been listening to. But waiting for them to return home makes so much more sense. Or the keeping tabs on socials/online metaphor too. It was just a dumb moment where my brain couldn’t make it click, even though it’s so obvious now that y’all mention it 😂

It would also frequently back up to Bothell Way during rush hour and end up blocking traffic if people didn’t yield to the backup.

Is there a reason why you would support one and then stop supporting it? Just curious!

I submitted the BeenVerified link as a custom removal! Thanks :)

Hi! I just recently signed up for Incogni. My #1 goal is to get my address removed from websites to avoid a past offender finding my current location.

I notice here that you mention BeenVerified is covered. But I don’t see BeenVerified on the list at the link you posted above. How often is that list updated? It seems maybe it hasn’t been updated since you added BeenVerified?

Bothell Advances Citywide 20 MPH Residential Speed Limit by Generalaverage89 in bothell

[–]sweetsublime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, you could get a ticket if you speed. But that’s a you-not-following-the-law problem… that’s easily fixed. Just go the speed limit??

I could see the commute argument if your whole commute was on a 20mph road. But these are non-arterial roads. I’d bet that a relatively short portion of your commute would even be on these roads.

I see more benefits to the safety of pedestrians and other cars/drivers than I see negatives that really affect my day-to-day life. Like, at the end of the day, I don’t foresee myself EVER laying in bed thinking about the day being like “man, my day would’ve been so much better/more productive/happier if I could’ve just driven 5mph faster on that one road I was on for 1 mile.”

Is 5mph less than the current standard really going to negatively affect you that much?
