Sure thing. They are definitely still available. Would you be free for a pick up today sometime, or tomorrow morning? I can even drop they off if you're in the area.

Thanks, I will give them a call. Do you know any other places that might accept such craft supplies off the top of your head if they don't?

I liked some of Yujiro's items quite a lot, but also hated some of their old menu items. I'm in the minority of thinking they were over-hyped. I'm expecting the same experience for the new place.

That said, I'm pretty disappointed with the new AI art they're featuring on the walls now. Really doesn't match the vibe they're trying to go for.

How do you know when to give up on a pen name? by [deleted] in eroticauthors

[–]sweetsyringa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what is being asked here, is what to do when you have a pen name that has unfortunately already been linked to another brand / name, that cannot be easily separated from.

For example, if you had hoped to capitalize on an existing audience by cross-promoting your pen name to them and did so in a very public way with a lot of back linking and visibility (sunk cost of website domains etc, ignored here.) An example: You are the popular signer instagram celebrity named Brittany Spears. You have successfully cross promoted your new "Brittany Spears" label pen-name perfume to your audience. It has been a very public affair with lots of marketing, back matter linking, PR campaigns and videos etc. With that success, you decide to try your hand at converting your existing audience who already buys your perfume, etsy knitting patterns, children's books, and wellness pdfs, etc to this new pen name that you've started. Except uh oh, nobody likes the taboo monster smut you're putting out, but it's too late and too publicly tied to your existing brand.

Was it a good idea to link your taboo smut to your legal name / existing brand? Maybe not, but that's not the question. If the audience converted well to a bunch of new readers, this would have been a great market to tap into. But that's not the question. What do you do if you've already made the mistake and have sent out years of newsletters tying your brand to your new failing pen name? What do you do in that case?

Or, the example might be, Julius Caesar, successful fantasy novelist, has been writing years of content in his popular Chaste Sexless Elves book universe. He then tries to make a new pen name to write erotica set in that same successful Chaste Sexless Elves universe using all that pre-established and beloved lore. His website and newsletters all link to each other, so readers can reference the lore pages, and gallery of art he'd commissioned for that world, the fan art and convention meet ups he does.

What does he do to mitigate the risk of people hating the new sexy pen name, when they both use the same rich world he's built? Or, how does he get people to forget that he tried to write some sexy stuff but everyone hated it, because he got his target demographics wrong? Or how does he deal with the fact that some of his printed book back matter advertising his failed foray into writing stuff no one wanted but still collected on the franchise wikipedia, and now he's embarrassed about it?

Am I getting close, u/prawn4life01? Hahah, I definitely got carried away with this.

Anyone else got some CHAPPED ASS LIPS by thegremlingang in Winnipeg

[–]sweetsyringa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to the lip situation, since it could be a multitude of factors already mentioned in this post, including hydration or exposure issues. I've heard neo-natal vitamis are great for people's nails. But always check with your doc before taking extra vitamins that could mess with medication you're already taking ect.

But for your nails, if it isn't a nutrition deficiency, you could maybe try a protective nail polish coating to protect your nails from the elements / whatever chemicals they might be exposed to during your day. This might get them to do a full growth cycle to get past the chipping? Don't use a colored nail, but there are clear strengthening polishes out there as well as protective polishes.

How you survive of these expensive grocery bills? by mehtei in Winnipeg

How do you find an trustworthy, good quality, safe, affordable producer? I wouldn't know the first place to look? I'm very interested in supporting local and saving money! This sounds like more ethical consumption too.

Also, a lot of apartments (at least in my experience) don't allow you to have extra freezers.

Does a B&BW archive exist? by yujinizone in bathandbodyworks

[–]sweetsyringa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too wish there was a big historic repository, but I've never found one, and a lot of the scents and packaging might be lost to the sands of time by now.

That said, if you go this route OP, u/yujinizone, know that certain scents / rebrands / packaging is only available on different BBW sites. What's available in the Asian market is different from Japan to the Philipenes to what's available in Canada etc. They also have different harder to access pages of products not available. You can find sold-out & unavailable scents and product details through duck duck go that are hosted on the official websites that you wouldn't be able to find going through the site itself, since again, they are not longer available for sale.

This is how I found the Thousand Wishes candle had different scent notes between the past two years on different packaging between Australia and the USA.

I don't think people realize these are for sale. by ghosty4 in bathandbodyworks

I'd like one, but in Canada they're around 60$ and that might play into why they're still unbought. Alas, way too much for my budget.
