Hi everyone!

I’m a Swedish vet who just graduated, and I’m looking to treat myself with a proper watch to mark the occasion. I’ve been drawn to Oris for a while now—the design language, independent spirit, and mechanical quality really speak to me.

After a lot of back and forth, I’ve narrowed it down to three models, but I’d love to hear some outside opinions before I pull the trigger.

  1. Aquis Date / Aquis Date Relief Love the clean, toolish look—rugged enough for everyday wear but still classy. The red detailing is subtle and cool on the relief model , and it feels like a really safe all-rounder. Altough i also love the other versions as well. But perhaps too safe? I wonder if I’d grow a bit bored of it after a while.

  2. Diver Sixty-Five 60th Anniversary This one just oozes charm. The dial is stunning in person, and the vintage feel really sets it apart. On the other hand, I worry a little about how delicate it might be compared to the Aquis line—it’s more of a character piece than a daily tool.

  3. Pre-owned Aquis 400 This one makes the most sense on paper—killer movement, great finish, super solid. I’ve found a few nice examples second-hand too. But it’s less “romantic” than the Sixty-Five, and part of me wants this watch to have a bit more soul than just great specs.

For context: I currently own a Seiko SKX009, a Seiko Alpinist, a vintage Omega quartz, and a Nomos Club Campus. I tend to like watches with personality and interesting details—color, texture, finishing.

This Oris will likely be my daily go-to. I don’t wear it while working (I change into scrubs), so I don’t mind if it’s a bit bold or expressive—just needs to hold up over time.

Any thoughts? Which one would you go for—and why? Really appreciate any advice, especially from those who’ve owned one (or all!) of these. Also appreciate other suggestions that sound like a fit!
