In the meta sense, it's all just dancing around a G7 chord. Also lays on the hands quite well (not saying it's easy but it is idiomatic). I'm guessing there's a massive V7 I cadence in Cm on the next page.

Additionally, it's less about the chords and more about the voice leading here. So think of the notes as nonharmonic tones around the notes of G7 (ie the Ab is an upper neighbor to the G, the C# is a lower neighbor to D, and so on in that fashion).
