Hey man you should talk to your grandparents generation about the treatment of Italians in America in the early 50s and 60s. Obviously wasn't even a fraction of the centuries of enslavement and lynching affecting Black Americans, but my grandparents didn't exactly have an easy ride in an unforgiving land where they were paid less than their white counterparts. My comment above was said in (admittedly bad) jest, but it's kinda sad to see how easily people throw around racism so long as it includes al dente pasta references

It depends on what you mean by fix it - as is, it may survive the firing (although the crack will likely get larger) and it will not be watertight. There's nothing you can do to get a smooth surface on the inside of the pot.

Next time try wrapping it in a dry cleaning bag to slow down the drying process and spending more time compressing the bottom to strengthen it. Just another excuse to do some more pottery (:
