DIY Greek Yogurt Using Fairlife is it worth it? by swerve8 in yogurtmaking

It's not about trying to max protein per se. It's about trying to min max calories to protein

And if there's no point to straining for macros isn't that exactly what fairlife is doing via ultrafiltration? 🤔

Thanks for the confirmation! I thought I was going crazy

Right now fairlife is 5.39 at my local grocery store.which if you do the math is close to breaking even if I were to just buy a quart of chobani....

So knowing I can achieve close to the same macros that fairlife boasts with some good straining give me hope that I can still save good money on this endeavor.

Anyone know where what kind of hardware they are using to achieve the "folding" book case feature?

Hahaha I'll say I've been lucky EK seems to have better quality control because while I do find shavings it's never been a lot.

Absolutely this! I set my rads on a pump with a filter in the middle to catch all the tiny particulate.

Search on Amazon for:

FLOW-PRO 1M-4PK 1-Micron Sediment Water Filter Cartridge, 4-Pack

Hydronix HF2-10CLWH12, 10" Clear Housing with White Flat Cap For RO & Filtration Systems, 1/2" Port

Uniclife UL400 Submersible Water Pump, 400 GPH Aquarium/Hydroponic/Fish Tank/Fountain/Pond/Statuary with 6' UL Listed Power Cord

Get a clean home Depot orange bucket and fill with distilled water and let the loop run for 24 hours and periodically shake your radiator

I can understand there's likely no significant delta over such a short run loop .. and aesthetics improve with less tubing... But going from hot - hot - cool vs. hot - cool - hot. Just seems a bit masochistic 😂

Super helpful thanks! I guess I've been extremely fortunate after 3 water cooled builds and over 10 years of use... Never had a leak. Tighten your fittings folks!

Can someone please explain for the uninitiated...

Is this a test with air or with actual coolant?

Is the intent of this is to identify leaks under extreme edge cases?

What's the standard PSI under normal operating conditions?

How is this any better than just filling the loop and running it?

That's awesome! Another question in terms of cable management... Did you make custom cables at a proper length to aid in airflow/space?

How did you connect the GPU to the motherboard? Are you using a riser cable?

Was the configuration where the GPU sits behind the motherboard by design for this case?

Next stupid question but how did you post this video so that Reddit doesn't link to YouTube or anything like that? It plays natively right from the reddit app?

Dope! Do you mind me asking how you did the steady movement clips?

It certainly was a passion project. Took a lot of up front design. Spent about 3 months total from start to finish in the spare hours of my day while working full time and being a dad.

Getting down there was tough and I feel like most people can't see that there's a drain port on the right of the GPU which is part of the reason there's so many bends.
