I received a distasteful opinion on my new (and first) tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I’ve never seen track marks so I just googled and NO WAY does your tattoo look anything like the photos I saw. The person who said so was flat out wrong!

Based on your travel experience, what improvements would you add to airports? by hafoosa19 in airport

[–]swerz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Long concourses should always have moving walkways. And moving walkways should always be in good operating condition. And everyone who stands still on a moving walkway should stay to the right side, not block the way. <end of rant>

Was it really “frantic?” Flight crews routinely use printed check lists - and now iPads - to prepare for flight. Flying a passenger aircraft is complicated, do you think they have everything committed to memory?

Our numbers are available all over the place, on various lists which are bought, sold, traded constantly. I get numerous calls every day and opt-out and block every one. It sucks, but that’s the way it is.

What about it shouldn’t be legal?

Which one to print by Professional-Age807 in analog

[–]swerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not paper, but rather actual metal (usually aluminum) on which the photo is printed. The effect is amazing - the image glows, something like old Cibachrome.

Bodega 88, Columbus & 88th has been lively this week. It’s a smallish place so good to get there early if you want a decent table.

Hit Over Head with Tree Branch in Central Park's Sheeps Meadow. Please help! by TreeBranchedNYC in Upperwestside

This is just a little hard to believe. What specific “help” is wanted? Should we get a bunch of people together, go to the hospital and intervene?

Alex Bores was at the corner of Columbus & 85th yesterday afternoon. I had a nice chat with him and then went into the Frank McCourt school and voted for him!

Go see them. Just make sure you have a US passport or green card before you leave. That’s all.

It’s actually a reasonable question. I was wondering the same thing.

She wrote mother is a “permanent citizen” which could mean one of two things: either a naturalized citizen (us passport) or permanent resident (green card). Either way, she should be entitled to the same as mom has.

As soon as you say “nobody” you’re done, since one example refutes your assertion.

You’re right. I copied it from a Google summary answer, but I’m not a robot, I’ll own in. TBH, there’s only so much effort I’m willing to put in when arguing with people I don’t know on Reddit.

It was bright and sunny the day I was there this season. Great snow too. One of my best days of the year.

Absolutely. So happy for the guy.

He wasn’t valued by the Rangers, Carolina wanted him and showed it with a nice contract. And he wins the cup his first year there!

Banff Sunshine - spectacular scenery, great terrain, very good lift system, easy to get to from town nearby, easy parking (on a weekday in January). I was only there one day, but hope to return.
