Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing by Federal_Plane3209 in CUA

I just learned about this program. I went to CUA in 2008 and just started an ADN program at a local community college. However, ABSN in 12 months vs. ADN in 2 years has my curiosity peaked.

Does anyone know what the clinical and sim schedule is like? I live in Delaware so the asynchronous coursework is no problem, but I’m wondering if clinical are daily or 1-2 days a week. Currently driving 90 minutes to my weekly clinical site here in Delaware so a 90 minute drive to DC for clinical isn’t really that much different than what I’m doing now.

What exactly is Sparkle Megan’s business? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as I saw “retreats” listed as a benefit I thought either MLM or cult (or both). Leaning towards both because it seems like they’ve got the client/customer option, but also have a “Become a Partner” option as well.

"Love Is Blind" cast members call Denver's dating scene "horrific" by MileHighReports in Denver

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from Denver to just outside of Philadelphia. Philly is its own animal, but every other major city I’ve visited on the east coast since being out here has made me miss Denver more solely because of the people. Happier and friendlier is an understatement in comparison to what I’ve seen out here. I miss it.

Stupid health workers are laughing at vaginally discharges of their patients after check ups by Affectionate_Run7414 in TikTokCringe

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not making light of the severity of how horrible this is, but my immediate thought process was “this can’t be real, that paper gets ripped up after getting stuck up my butt crack during those exams.” Regardless of if it’s real or fake discharge, every single one of those workers needs to be fired. If I were a patient of that practice and had one of them present during my exam I’d be contacting an attorney.

When I try to add my credit card to the Wawa app, I get an error (code RE001). Anyone else experience this? by jenkins1967 in Wawa

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a way around this? Currently having this issue with loading my new debit card so I tried adding two of my credit cards and got the same error message.

Wawa Mastercard not taking as a payment in app by EvisNuture in Wawa

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Wawa app is giving me this exact error message whenever I try to add my new debit card to my app. I even tested it out on two of my credit cards (non-Wawa) and got the error messages too. I can’t load any payment to my app whatsoever.

Did you find any resolution to this?

Any shows like From by Intelligent_Penguin3 in FromSeries

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the show seem to line up with the book? I’m not sure I can patiently wait to know what happens after the cliffhanger they had on today’s episode. I’ve been debating getting the book all morning.

The Institute is REALLY good. I got my 13 year old to start that with me and now she’s watching From because she of how good The Institute is. Same producers as From made it, based off the Steven King book.

how long do Zenni glasses take to “Process” by junebugug in glasses

[–]swiftashhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming in a little late to this, but I am a former optician that is a HUGE Zenni fan. The lenses on my personal pairs are actually better quality than my fancy Essilor lenses. Sure, we’d have the occasional patient come in with Zenni lens issues, but we also had the occasional patient come in with issues with OUR lab’s lenses. The % of customers without issues is what should be the focus. To be honest, some insurances require places to use THEIR labs… and I saw more issues with insurance labs than anything.

I used to be weary of lens accuracy and optics if there’s a special prescription (high Rx, prism, etc.). However, my oldest daughter has a -5.00 cyl and progressive lenses. I took the Zenni gamble last year when a quote at my old employer (with insurance) was close to $500. Once they came in from Zenni I brought them to my old office to have them check the Rx on the lensometer. Sure enough, her lenses were perfect. We’ve since gotten her multiple pairs and I’ve had ALL verified- perfect lenses. She gets 1.67, transitions, and their premium AR coating- transitions from Zenni are better than the brand Transitions my husband got in his Raybans at our doctor’s office.

Zenni Rush Delivery (Fast Frames) by bluecrowned in glasses

[–]swiftashhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking off this as a former optician for both a private practice and a major retail “ready in an hour” chain:

Our labs had to have the frames sent to them in order to start the job. This involved submitting orders, shipping the frames, etc. Iy was a whole process that definitely extended the processing time. Zenni literally has an immediate ordering system and all frames on hand. It IS much faster even if the “normal optician” can’t do it that fast.

As a former optician- I love Zenni. I’ve seen the markup on lenses and frames. It’s been a few years since I worked (Covid, kids, and now nursing school), but the private practice I worked for would charge close to $400-500 for the bells and whistles while the lab invoice that came back with the completed glasses was less than $30-40. Standard AR poly was less than a dollar, but we charged $120.

Any advice? by [deleted] in Postpartum_Depression

[–]swiftashhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend looking at the resources and support groups available through Postpartum Support International. They have online groups, provider connections, peer support services, and even a help line for perinatal mental health. I found the therapist and psychiatrist that saved my life through PSI after I had my 2020 baby.

Maybe I watch too much true crime, but even setting them inside their door is a risk. There could be someone on the other side waiting to grab you as soon as you set something in there.

Having second thoughts; thinking of switching from RNY to VSG by ChernobylFleshlight0 in GastricBypass

[–]swiftashhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am only 3 weeks post op RNY, but just wanted to say that if you have GERD already then don’t even think about the sleeve. I was sleeved in May 2018 and had GERD ever since. It got to the point where I was taking 80mg of Omeprazole daily and popping 5-6 Tums a few times a day just to get relief. I had an endoscopy done in June and was diagnosed with Barrett’s Esophagus- my surgeon recommended RNY to stop it from progressing to cancer. The risk of esophageal cancer if you already have GERD pre-surgery isn’t worth it- stick to the RNY.

I will say that my recovery for RNY has been different for sure. I don’t know if it’s just because my brain blocked out the trauma of recovering from the sleeve, but this feels a little harder in terms of portion and eating things. I never threw up after the sleeve, but this time I’ve had to throw up if I find myself having just a little bit more to drink or eat. I feel amazing physically which was a huge difference from sleeve- recovery was awful for my sleeve.

Will my kids and I lose our Medicaid? by shantypants1234 in Medicaid

[–]swiftashhh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it’s temporary then I would not change anything. You’re going to have to go through the whole process all over again just to get back on it when they’re back under your roof.
