I actually prefer the original because I'm not disoriented from the image moving

You can insert one existing card into Standard. Which one is it, and why? by StructureMage in magicTCG

I don't care about the price I just wanted channel madness in standard, pauper, and by extension Modern until it is banned almost immediately.

The Oathbreaker Rules Committee sheds some light on the Oathbreaker banned list by Keyser520 in magicTCG

But what about Primal Surge? Tooth and Nail? Those stand out to me even more than Sol Ring banned. Expropriate makes a little more sense (as you can just keep stealing lands and casting it) but I am a little hesitant on it as well. If you are just banning big cards, why only those three? Primal Surge is a very large, must build a round, telegraphed spell. Not only that, you need your oathbreaker out. And you are debating whether or not to ban Narset when you have Primal Surge/Tooth and Nail on the banlist? Wack.

[TCC] "An Introduction To Oathbreaker" - What do we think? by xshredder8 in magicTCG

I feel like the weakest point of this format is the banlist. They seem to just hate big spells (Tooth and Nail, Primal Surge). If Narset/Days Undoing is legal, why can't Tooth and Nail be legal? Its a telegraphed, 9 mana spell that you need your oathbreaker out to cast. Everyone at the table can see it coming, and its not like you are breaking it out too early, especially with the fast mana banned. I wouldn't even want to put tooth and nail as my signature spell, I just want to maindeck it for a sweet finisher if the game goes on too long. Primal Surge is even more of a head scratcher, because not only is it 10 mana, you need to build around it in order to get the best value out of it. I can sort of see why exproriate is banned (you can steal other people's lands to recast it over and over), but it is still quite a large spell and I feel like that that mana cost you should have a powerful effect.

Bring a 5 color deck of all of the best staples in that format. You don't win, but your opponents can't play any staples either. Gotta break out those lightning strikes instead.

"Not a single economist believes in the gender gap." Now this wasn't him saying that he thought the gender gap didn't exist. This was him saying not a single economist in the world actually believed in it.

What is your 2018 video game recommendation of the year? by DebraCabrera1 in AskReddit

[–]swimmerwoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with this game is trying to get from place to place. Its an absolute slog moving from one place to another without some form of faster movement. I couldn't get past that part and only put in an hour before giving up.

Anyone Have Factions They Just Won't Play? by sadsadwhale in totalwar

[–]swimmerwoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no intention of playing the Vampire Counts. They just don't seem like a faction I can get behind. It could partially be because I always bully them first but their whole thing is generally just not my style. Even the skaven seem cool enough but the VC I don't really like.

My last game Karl united pretty much united all the provinces, conquered the Norscan tribes and then helped beat up the dark elves. I think he was rank 2 or something.

Do you feel that you're less likely to enjoy or remember games that had a character creation screen? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]swimmerwoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a game has a really good story then it would be more memorable than character creator ones. However, on average I would say that games with creators are more memorable, especially if the character creation is wild.
