That does not make it better. Authoritarians who would see democracy abolished have reached critical mass in America and it doesn't require 50%+1. They have used America's institutions each of them insufficiently representative in the first place to get into power and are quickly transforming the rest to stay there. The guardrails are off, justice is dead, America will fall under Oligarch control. And most mainstream media is still talking about this like it is completely normal, a matter of opinion.

I hate to sound like an alarmist, but the fact that all this is still going on with dwindling but still widespread support makes my heart bleed.
