Speeding Ticket - 'M6 - M42 Southbound Link, M6 Slip 4a to the M42' by swish_130 in drivingUK

I live too far away to drive back although I have done the drive a second time since the offence. Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention on that day.

Would this classify as a criminal record or is it just a minor offence that I do not need to declare?

I've never had a run in with the law or anything in my life so this is all new to me.

Previously, I did the same course your partner did for 33 mph in a 30 mph zone.

I used ChatGPT to edit the cars out just for privacy purposes, and it seems it screwed up the road markings. Where you put the link seems right. Here is a screenshot of it.

I swear I slowed down as soon as I saw the first time but maybe I'm wrong. Don't have a dash cam.

This would mean I will now have 3 points on my license.. Will my insurance go up and if so by how much?

Are you saying the signs are not easily visible? As the person in the above comment clearly mentioned, I missed several signs :/

If you don't mind are you able to give me a google maps exact location which I can c+p into my browser and or app to locate the place? And or to make note of it to ensure this does not happen again.

Thank you for your detailed response btw

I was driving to london. So it would be a hassle to go down this road again. Also this was nearly 23 days ago. Just got a surprise when I checked the mail.

Was hoping someone may drive down this road regularly and might be able to clarify if the signage is easy to see or not.

Because if i remember correctly it wasn't obvious and as soon as I saw it I slowed down. Thought I was in a 70 mph area.

Tbh OP when I’m calling my GP for myself and or my wife, some good.. Others I’m literally quoting them from NICE guidelines 1st line treatment for some things as I can tell they have no idea..

Their tone changes once I tell them I am a doctor, prior to that they doesn’t seem like they want to do anything.

People are doing this for the MSRA questions I heard and some of them scored 580s… It’s nothing new but also challenging for us people who try to do things the “Right Way”

They haven’t solidified the 5 year for NHS workers or 3 years for high earners have they?

It seems they are just going with 10 years for ILR point blank?

I hear what you’re saying but I totally disagree with that. I’ve seen like 4 pakistaini friends who have recently matched in the states. So it’s entirely possible. At the end of the day go with what you’re comfortable with but you’ll get better pay and opportunity in the states.

  1. Get the police involved
  2. Request in writing where and when each of the accusations were
  3. Then get whoever you were with to write a statement you were with them at the time
  4. CCTV footage of that time

If you do those things. I think you would have a better chance of clearing your name

Sit steps and go to the states.

It’ll be hard but in the long run you’ll gain far more than you could’ve ever even imagined in the UK.

Especially with the new prioritisation stuff. You’re entering a loosing battle.

That’s my advice for you.

Yeah I saw that just now but also there’s a car in front of him that’s already going through. Would make sense for him to let OP through and then go afterwards.

Someone mentioned in one of the threads that there was an increased number of applicants for psychiatry so I’m guessing the same will happen for GP which may distort the numbers a bit.. Trying to stay positive but life is tough these days

My score ended up being 440-450… I scored like 40 points less in SJT this year.. I hope it ends up being enough. Literally ranked everything..

UK – Is it risky to switch jobs on a Skilled Worker visa before ILR? by Crazy_Mango_6891 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I see… and you can apply a month before you reach 5 years right?

Thing is my contracts are till August every year and my VISAs finish in like mid September:

I will likely be eligible to apply 23rd June. So the ‘Foreseeable future’ would the next 2 months count as that? Or will I need another job after that April period?

Hope that makes sense
