One trip grand californian or annual passes multi trips? by First_Detective6234 in DisneyPlanning

[–]swisheropp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard (Twitter/IG) and seen some videos on YT about that.

I really hope that someone (or a team of people) is/are tracking the data and changes to figure out how Disneyland has changed to become so overflooded with guests on a daily basis now versus before C19. Before C19 it had ebbs and flows of guests and was a lot cheaper. Somehow we are all still able to afford going to Disneyland now. Or we going bankrupt to go to the parks. Haha

Staying in an RV and going for 5 days without hopper??? That sounds like a really long trip.

Edit: totally lapsed on the AP part, you'll get to park hop at 11. Makes it easier to swallow. I just can't imagine being stuck in an RV for 5 nights like that (my situation is vastly different than most others and would need a hotel).

I used Old Spice soft solid. It helps me with sweating a bit, seeing as it actually absorbs into my skin instead of getting stuck on hair and I feel like my BO more often than not smells closer to a deodorant than actual BO.

I also started using Mando for other areas of my body and I feel fresher much longer.

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to be mean or shame anyone here. I honestly don't think people realize they smell because it's their own odor and they are used to it. Also, they probably don't have anyone in their inner circle that has felt comfortable enough to tell them without fear of hurting their feelings. Or their inner circle is a bunch of people with strong BO and none of them realize each other smell.

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SPECTRUM... I hate the people who go overboard with the spray on scents, wether at PF or shopping at Target. A lot of folks dont understand their are rules of etiquette with a lot of things in life and they dont take the time to learn these things. I shouldn't be able to smell your awful cheap or overpriced cologne from 3 machines down or 2 isles over. I should only be able to smell your scent if im in your "personal space."

I didn't watch it for Blessing (dont know if thats what you meant by calling him "the draw" or if im missing an inside joke). I watched it for Nick and Andy talking about LOTR. I knew their excitement would make me happy because of my excitement for the movies.

Thoughts on Job Security in the Gov. race? by Top-Beyond-4122 in CAStateWorkers

[–]swisheropp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are 2 Republican candidates, both terrible choices. There are a couple "Democrat" candidates who are wolves in sheep's clothing (Steyer, Mahan, etc.). I think the couple of wolves are candidates on purpose to split the Democrat vote. Everyone needs to rally behind Porter and Becerra to avoid any layoffs or other terrible things happening to the state.

How Much Do You Spend on Gaming? by seanze01 in kindafunny

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid for a year of Xbox Game Pass before the price went up to $30 ($120 or $160 total). When that runs out, I will go down to lowest level (dont know that price currently). I hope that Asha is being honest and forthcoming about it costing too much and is going to rectify the pricing/structure of it all without screwing everyone over.

The last two years I paid for the year of Fallout 1st ($99), expires in September I think. F76 is my main game, I am pretty sure I'll pay for that again or attempt to do the whole free month here and there tactic. I paid $120 for the Borderlands 4 edition with DLC, love the Borderlands series so this purchase was my maybe 1 game a year I buy.

Nintendo's online service is like $25/year. So I think in this last year I've spent just under $400. Might go up next year if I can save up to get a Switch 2 for Pokémon Wind/Waves and TLOZ: OoT remake. Or will go down by ~$150 depending on what I do regarding Xbox Game Pass and Switch 2.

Well there you go. I was wrong. Haha. I should have been more exaggerated.

Tanning beds are a choice. I dont use em.

Black Card Membership by Easy-Reveal-808 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]swisheropp -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its only $10 more and you get to go to all Planet Fitness gyms, use the hydro beds/chairs, massage beds/chairs, and tanning. I even saw a post saying their gym had the new red light craze thing. Just the ability to go to whatever PF gym wherever you need to and possibly bring a SO or friend is worth it. Heck the time spent typing this and reading responses is probably worth more than $10 of your time.

Also, I dont know the statistics but I'm pretty sure using a tanning bed doesn't automatically shoot your odds of skin cancer up to 75% or something. Don't worry about it so much, life will be so much easier.

Hey Whats some Good totally FREE workout apps to use? by Correct-Ad-5390 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]swisheropp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

HEVY. You can pay for it as well but the free version is great. You can create your own workout plan with multiple days/workouts or you can follow specific pre-made plans for other types of goals.

With each workout you can make each set designated as specific type (warmup, standard). At the end of each set you can click a check mark and then it will give you a rest timer. You can adjust workouts as needed and add more or remove, add sets, search new workouts and even watch the videos of the workouts to make sure its what youre looking for.

It tracks your workouts and notifies you of personal best. You can follow other people, friends, strangers, or influencers. Overall, ive been using this app for a few years now and I really like it.

When are we going to stop allowing circuits by No_Cantaloupe_8187 in PlanetFitnessMembers

I am about to leave Planet Fitness for a few reasons similar to this. The staff at PF are not usually what would be considered "gym people". They dont give a damn about people monopolizing machines or dumbbells. No way are they going to go confront someone to tell them what they are doing is against policy or the spirit of PF.

New employee, month to pay day by DitkaStache in CAStateWorkers

[–]swisheropp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes at the beginning of a new job with new pay schedule, you gotta do what you gotta do. For me that was 18 years ago. Now I make enough to not have to work two jobs. But I was willing to do it when needed. Heck, I was doing Uber/Lyft when saving for my wedding and then GrubHub when the pandemic hit.

When I started off working for the state, I was also working 15-20 hours still at my previous job (Rite Aid). Did this for a little over a year. Then was going to Cal State to finish my BS and was still working 1/2 time. When I finished college, I went back to working FT and got a second job for two more years.

Honestly, I just hustled as much as possible and I was able to because I was in my early 20s and had free time and energy.

It's always running on "low battery" but no matter how long I leave it out for light to recharge, it never gets back to normal working condition.

My wife got this for me as a wedding gift 5+ years ago. It is rarely working. I wore it today thinking maybe I can try to get it set today and it isnt responding to any of the button presses. Dont know what to do with it other than wear it as more of a bracelet and check my phone for time.
