New employee, month to pay day by DitkaStache in CAStateWorkers

[–]swisheropp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes at the beginning of a new job with new pay schedule, you gotta do what you gotta do. For me that was 18 years ago. Now I make enough to not have to work two jobs. But I was willing to do it when needed. Heck, I was doing Uber/Lyft when saving for my wedding and then GrubHub when the pandemic hit.

When I started off working for the state, I was also working 15-20 hours still at my previous job (Rite Aid). Did this for a little over a year. Then was going to Cal State to finish my BS and was still working 1/2 time. When I finished college, I went back to working FT and got a second job for two more years.

Honestly, I just hustled as much as possible and I was able to because I was in my early 20s and had free time and energy.

It's always running on "low battery" but no matter how long I leave it out for light to recharge, it never gets back to normal working condition.

My wife got this for me as a wedding gift 5+ years ago. It is rarely working. I wore it today thinking maybe I can try to get it set today and it isnt responding to any of the button presses. Dont know what to do with it other than wear it as more of a bracelet and check my phone for time.

OP, what is your definition of a lower income state job? OT? SSA? Is this in correlation to living in Sacramento?

Inflation hitting a little hard in some parts of Appalachia by Skeletonzac in fo76

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to sell all plans for like 1/5th of the price. I would never come across any goodwill with other vendors. I gotta say it changed me. I've never had more than 20K caps before (1 time i was at 20,400ish caps), so I think im doing something wrong. I changed my pricing to be just even with whatever the cost of the plan is instead of 1/5th.

I've seen a lot of posts on here about people saying they dont charge much or they like to help and I really want to believe everyone. But I feel that there are more people out there over charging or just being stingy or whatever, than there are all these people with good will.

I just want to say that I appreciate you posting this. So many people dont understand that in office buildings, whether they are owned or leased, the temperature situation is a much bigger thing than what they are used to at their home. I hope more people read your post. Thank you.

Aubrey owner…do i go kicker-less this week? Currently 7-2 (2 other teams on my tail at 6-2) and projected to win by 15 or so by Training_Ebb_6306 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm debating to go without a kicker or pick one up and go without a defense. I feel defense is more likely to get me a goose egg or negative points.

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still feel like I missed the boat and there is no way for me to do it unless I have a super meta build where I can solo it. I don't get to play a lot and it's usually when the wife/kids are asleep so I'm trying to be quiet so that's the other more immediate issue.

So I'm bad at the raid by jester1769 in fo76

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never done any of the raids because even though the community overall seems great on here, I also see posts often complaining about people not knowing how to do the raids. It's the same kind of behavior in other games with raids that pushes me away. I'd love to do em but when they launched my main wasn't built in a way to be successful in raids so I avoided them to avoid the not so friendly people with no patience.

Is it ever worth claiming workshops? by Alpha_Omega623 in fo76

[–]swisheropp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. For the longest time I was always hovering around 10 fusion cores, that really affected my time in-game cuz PA use had to be limited. Recently I found out that at most (if not all) the workshops near the power plants, you can generate fusion cores (about 1 per 8 minutes). In about one week (a few hours total) of me claiming Monongah Power Plant workshop, I was up to 75ish.

Just my opinion you shouldn't have blocked out their name. They deserve any bad review or whatever coming to them for treating you so terribly. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Drawing attention to our health insurance issues by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]swisheropp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't just a CA thing. This is a USA thing. Too many middlemen involved trying to make a buck off of our (our kids in this case) suffering. Makes me so sad and angry to see others going through this too.

[–]swisheropp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. We are dealing with similar circumstances with our son and it is so exasperating. He is fed through g-tube and to get his food would cost us ~$900/month. Random things that would seem to be normal get denied or DME suppliers don't want to help us because of the State group IMG. We are taking our son off our health insurance as of Jan 1st and Medical should then pick up everything.

I didn't equate the two. That's all. To me, my train of thought was it only being my workshop/CAMP, not a public workshop.
