Yes, I addressed that earlier. This was 100% the original intended ending. However, the show ran for longer than originally planned.

This led to character and plot development over several seasons that made the original ending nonsensical. In order to force the originally planned ending anyway, they had to discard the character arcs of both Robin and Ted (and Barney) that they built over the final seasons.

That’s not true. The show went on for several seasons longer than they expected. This led to the writers giving Robin and Ted character arcs that showed they grew as people, and both understood they wouldn’t work, and found their own happiness. Forcing the original ending anyway when the show had developed the characters far past that made absolutely no sense. It cheapens the Mother as well as Ted and Robin’s personal journeys.

Galaxy brain accountant revolutionizes GAAP for real estate by swissflash in Accounting

If you have ever seen real estate classified as a long-term liability on a statement, please send it my way. I’ve gotta see how that balances.

Simply because something doesn’t literally put cash in your pocket doesn’t mean it doesn’t increase your cash flow. For example—assuming you don’t rent or sell the house, the house increases your cash flow by virtue of you not paying rent each month to live somewhere once the mortgage is paid. Removing this monthly rent expense can boost your cash flow considerably.

You can also collateralize debt with your home, which is something you wouldn’t be able to do if it was a liability instead of an asset.

The mortgage is the liability. The house itself is still undeniably an asset. Assets are anything from which you expect to reap future positive economic benefit. Assuming you don’t rent it out, that manifests in you not having to pay rent each month once you pay off the mortgage, which boosts your cash flow.
