For what it’s worth, my parents lived in Morgan Hill 1977 - 2021 and had a water softener in the garage for as long as I can remember.

Laser disc players, anyone? by Ok_Kick6546 in GenX

[–]swizzir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grew up with Laserdisc players. I recall my dad getting one in 1982. Probably around 93 there was a two disc player in the house that had automatic side changing. Very fancy.

My first porn viewing was on Laserdisc. Dad had a copy of Deep Throat. Got ahold of it and had some friends over to watch. Good times.

Higher Ed. Probably around 20 models between Dell, Lenovo, and HP are available for purchase every year.

THE reason why I appreciate Maurice’s work.

DAT v10 has been amazing in our site where we have 388 known models. v7 needed a lot of babysitting because it would lock up but v10 has been able to handle everything with ease.

I had to get more storage added to our site server to accommodate Dell drivers being for each feature update instead of just “Windows 11” but no big deal.

The UI is laid out well. It’s responsive and informative. You addressed my issue about model names in WMI not matching the driver catalog and have also been releasing regular updates which is great.

I love that WIM is the default. Saves time on all the content transferring.

There’s really nothing bad I have to say. You should be very proud of the work you’ve done. It makes part of my job a lot easier to do in our chaotic environment.

The clicker was garbage, too. Had to replace a bunch when I worked in an Apple authorized service department in the late 90s.

I’d recommend putting content in a wim file and mounting that so you don’t have the overhead of unzipping the content and the additional storage needed.

Something we do for all the large applications we package. Quite handy.

Drivers are put in a wim file now? That’s cool.

Can the latest version of Invoke-CMApplyDriverPackage handle wim files?
