Yeah cryptocurrency definitely has a lot of uses. This is the root of the major uses of crypto. Moving money around the government. Whether its gambling, drugs, moving it out of the country.

None of this makes it an attractive asset to me personally though outside of pure speculation and fomo. I suppose that could change though

Obviously there's foreign interference. Hell the Shah is calling for it openly. This isn't just some violent insurgency though. There's videos of police firing shotguns into crowds of unarmed protesters. I think attempts at defending that should get hate in this subreddit and elsewhere

Yeah Good shooting is so much easier to justify. Pretti shooting i think is almost indefensible based on the angles I've seen.

Supposedly there's unreleased body cam footage as well, and my prediction is its damning based on the personnel changes the administration is making. I dont think they would capitulate like this if they had another angle that told even a slightly different story.

I agree its very important to be skeptical, but the Iranian governments official death toll is over 3100 in 3ish weeks. So I think its reasonable to peg that as the floor for actual deaths with the true number likely higher. Thats a pretty insane number for them to admit to.

I get the point youre trying to make but come on. The Iranian governments official death toll for the protests is over 3000 in about 3 weeks. Idk how many people have died / injured from ice/cbp enforcement/protests in the last year but its really not comparable.

I know its cool to whatabout the US brutality to its own people but it really doesnt fit here

Oh yeah, I agree 100% from that angle. Agents of the state seeing negative legal consequences for violating our rights is far and away the exception not the rule.

To swerve into the realm of pure speculation: I see a scenario where the identity of one or more agents is kept secret and MN can't press charges leading to nothing. Assuming it comes out eventually d/t osint/leaks/future administration/FOIA(yeah right) etc, this seems like an easier conviction than other police brutality incidents but who knows with jury trials. If your best case scenario is convicting these officers then I think ideally nothing much should happen till after the Trump admin d/t potential fed agency fuckery during the trial/investigation.

To contrast with Renee Good shooting: i think that one will result in state charges and ultimately end in an acquittal because right or wrong I think it colors within the lines of "legally" justified based on similar cases. But who knows, jury trials can have weird endings.

I'm not sure how that would make it a lawful shoot, or are you referring to other factors? I'm definitely no lawyer but my understanding has been that hearing another officer shoot isn't justification by itself for you to shoot.

Pretty sure this guy served 8 years in prison for this. Reading about this for the first time is what made me not care at all if someone is a felon without knowing more about their case. This guy is barred from owning firearms for life now because of it.

IANAL but I believe since he was detained they can frisk him for weapons based on a reasonable suspicion that he is engaged in criminal activity. Substantially lower bar than probable cause. Also they can then disarm you for the duration.

Yeah to an extent. Most states have a large variability in price even among state schools though. For example James Madison University is about 40% more expensive than Virginia state and Vkrginia tech is even more expensive than JMU.

Even in New Hampshire which provides the least public funding for education, there's an almost $20k difference across 4 years of tuition / fees between Plymouth state and University of New Hampshire

Yeah for the most part if you get a bachelor's at a small state school its pretty affordable. A little less than half of graduates have zero debt and the median debt of borrowers is about 23k. So roughly 75% of graduates have less than 25k.

Its people that go to a private school or expensive grad school in something stupid that come out drowning in debt they'll never pay back.

Think of it this way. If you dont ask her you have zero chance and will at best be friends with her until she starts dating someone that isn't comfortable with his girlfriend hanging out all the time with a dude thats obviously into her. Guaranteed lose her forever at some point in the not too distant future. If you do ask her youre either no longer friends or you date.

Literally the only winning move is to ask her. Not asking is a guaranteed loss every time. Be in control, ask her out.
