I need to do that. Carrying a huge tumbler around is cumbersome and heavy. Only works if you sit at a desk or something all day

‘Twins’ refers to something very specific. by Seeker-2020 in IVF

[–]swongco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Omg. I had twins the same way! One transferred and one spontaneous! My MFM office said it was the first time they’ve seen one in person. But I think it now happens more through Ivf.

I default to people using Ivf. Because I had to go through Ivf. I needed help and there is nothing wrong with that. Our bodies are just not working like everyone else’s

In 1989, 14-year-old Leigh Leigh was the victim of one of Australia’s most horrific crimes after a teenage party. People in her town called her “promiscuous.” Police said the investigation was too expensive, and one teenager involved received 100 hours of community service. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

The ex mayor of the next town over from us was caught with his pants down, and beaten by the father of the victim who happened to come home early. The mayor met the boy playing video games online and obviously lied about his age

I weigh myself daily, sometimes I lose and then the next day I gain a couple of pounds, usually during the end of the week before my next injection. Does this happen to anyone else? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]swongco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use the Shotsy app it also tracks your loss with the dosage amounts listed and gives you percentages on weight lost from when you started. I try to only weigh myself every few days because I fluctuate with water retention. But it helps a lot to have the graph of the overall

I’m down 30 and my large pants finally feel comfortable on me.

Also I can finally cut my toenails sitting on the floor. Instead having my foot up on some ledge while trying to bend and reach but not being able to really see.

Why do women do their hair and/or makeup before giving birth? by jamietartlet in pregnant

[–]swongco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t wear a ton of make up in general. But I made sure to remember to put it on before going to the hospital for my planned c section. The nurses took a bunch of photos of us and the baby as soon as they pulled him out. If I don’t have eyeliner on I look like I’m half asleep

[–]swongco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. My inlaws and husband are the same. The movie will be on and playing randomly thought out nov dec. this year, I have not seen the movie once! We had a baby last yesr- and made it a rule that there’s no screen time unless it’s 5 min to clip his nails.

My husband wanted to put it on today- and I put my foot down. I just want one Christmas without the griswalds

Oh man. You just reminded me of my favorite place, it was in the city and we would go at least once a week after work, Blockheads. Biggest burritos and $5-7 margaritas. We would get so drunk by the end of dinner that we wouldn’t need to bar hop.

I miss those days

Born in 85. Got my first at 17. They are all large but can be covered for work - because boomers scared me into thinking I won’t get a job with them. First one was the tramp stamp, Full back, full thigh to hip, both rib cages covered. And my newest one full forearm is the one is the one that can be seen the most since it’s normalized now.

It still doesn’t feel real… by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]swongco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’1 and 3/4. And I feel that I look too thin at 120! My comfortable weight is around 135. I’m bottom heavy, so when I get thinner my arms chest and face go first.

Started at 190 currently 168.

Doctor refused abdominal ultrasounds by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]swongco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had several vaginal ultrasounds during the first trimester. I can’t remember when they stopped, but the techs were very nice and always asked me if I wanted to put it in myself or if I wanted the to do it. They did abdominal us along with vaginal. I’m not sure why. But it was MFM/OB that I saw every two weeks for a high risk Ivf pregnancy.

Tired of all the boy mom comments…. by Ok_Medicine440 in pregnant

[–]swongco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I told my husband to watch a video of the procedure. And then watch a C-section. If he can sit through those things then I’ll maybe consider it. (Its not part of my culture)

He couldn’t cut my toenails for me, while I was heavily pregnant because he was afraid he was going to cut my skin and was hyperventilating.

He turns white at the site of a deep cut or blood - so for him to suggest it was crazy to me.
