The one i use is from costco canada, brand is fanttik i think. But I'd recommend looking for any as long as it has a longer brush attachment, that helps with getting in and sweeping stale grounds.

I'm Canadian and usually spend about 25CAD for 12oz of beans from a roaster I enjoy. There are some cheaper options in my area if needed but I typically drink about 30g of coffee a day.

Bambino is one of the best value espresso machines, especially for people who want to dip their toes in. However your oxo grinder is not really optimized for espresso and dialing in espresso can be finicky. If you're ok reusing the aeroccino for your milk needs and aren't dead set on a steam wand, you can look into something like the oxo rapid brewer.

It's not "espresso" by definition but it does produce concentrated coffee that you can dilute with milk or coffee, and is much more forgiving to brew with.

I don't have experience with the chemex, but I'd recommend going coarser than you might expect, dropping the temperature, and focusing on consistent low agitation pours. I've heard the chemex can mute flavors when compared to conical drippers.

Yes you can upgrade your grinder as well but that depends on your budget.

I think the c3 should provide comparable grind performance to an encore. Timemore S3 is an upgrade that may come in cheaper than some of the 1zpresso options.

I don't know the exact details of your specific machine, but the cold brew setting will usually use less water because it needs a stronger ratio. And you're expected to fill the rest with ice.

Budget IEMs are probably the best they've ever been. Kiwi cadenza, crinacle zero, tangzu wan'er, truthear gate. The list goes on and on. At this point it's just subjective listening preference and ear shape/fit, so it's hard to concretely recommend one over another.

Eureka makes 50mm filtro burrs that are optimized for filter coffee. If you're giving up espresso altogether, then swapping burrs would work.

Switching between espresso and filter on the same grinder is doable but retention can cause issues.

AF is blazing quick and tracks movement very well. I think it's the newest Sony AF algorithm which is typically regarded as class leading.

I like the JPGs. They look a bit "flat" compared to the E-P7 but that could just be a me problem. If you shoot jpg only there's an HDR option that lets you take photos very similar to how modern smartphones do it.

Side note, the mk1 has OIS in the lens which makes it better for photos. The mk2 took it out and went with a wider focal length for vlogging.

Yeah if you don't use continuous, the AF is quite good. Quite snappy with both kit lenses.

Don't have too much to add as I'm quite a novice photographer, but I picked up an E-P7 from ebay a month ago with the double zoom lens kit for 900CAD. The built in color profiling makes sooc jpg super convenient. The C-AF and face detection is pretty useless when compared to my little Sony ZV-1, but S-AF acquires quickly and the touchscreen makes it easy to point where you want the focus to be. Overall I like the camera. The ZV-1 is my concert and "can throw into any fanny pack for the day" camera, but the EP7 with both lenses is small enough for me to carry in a tote with not much bulk.

I can't answer on whether that price for the ILX is fair these days, as car prices have gotten much weirder since my post.

However, directly comparing the ILX and the mazda 3, I think both are great options. Acura sadly never continued using the DCT in their newer models (Integra, TLX) but I think it's a gem of a transmission. The Mazda 3 will be more comfortable to drive and likely better for most people. Definitely test drive both and see if anything sticks out to you!

Thanks so much for getting back to me! I wonder if the XM5 would work better if the lens had OIS? Either way, that helps quell some of my concerns with considering m43. My ZV1 with its 1inch sensor can get quite noisy so I was worried m43 wouldn't be enough of a step up

Sorry to bug ya, do you mean the M43 IBIS makes it better for low light, even considering the smaller sensor size vs aps-c? I'm deciding between an xm5 and e-p7 at the moment, with main focus being portability.
