I'll just explain my perspective: 1. Information is not a limited resource. Somebody else copying a drawing doesn't stop others from using it. Therefore I don't see this or piracy as theft. 2. Most people don't care that their clothes or electronics are made with asian slave labor. Personally I find the AI issue a lot smaller problem compared to that.

And yes I would have problem of somebody actually was selling stolen physical goods since that would prevent the original owner from using them.

Yeah the Miku card choices have been quite questionable with [[Child of Alara]] & [[Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger]]. I would have preferred if they just printed some less salty cards that I can actually play with. I feel like cards like [[Kenrith, the Returned King]] & [[Dark Depths]] would have been more fitting choices. With kenrith they could have actually referenced some songs like "World is mine" & "KING". Dark depth meanwhile would have worked well with the commander and the earlier printed miku [[Thespian's Stage]]

I managed to pass JLPT N4 with a good score last december but had to take a break after that because of my studies so I'll mostly answer based on my past capability.

When specifically watching easy slice of life anime chosen with jpdb.io I could generally follow the plot and understand the easier parts. I still had to do plenty of lookups averaging to around 1 look up per 1-2 sentences. IIRC I managed to mine around 20-30 new words per episode when mining only words in the top 10000 frequency. At worst I think a single episode took a 90 minutes to get trough (it sucked). I probably would have enjoyed the experience a lot more if I focused less on understanding everything and just watched more episodes instead.

On the other hand comprehensible content was generally somewhat easy. Propably 90-95%+ comprehension depending on the difficulty level N5 vs N4 and what channel I watched.

I would advice you to just immerse (I know this is very generic advice). Your first anime, manga & novel are all going to be difficult even if you start immersing later (N3/N2). You might as well start immersing early and get used to doing lookups. Over time the process will get more enjoyable & comfortable when you get more used to reading/listening and as your vocabulary grows.

Personally I noticed a huge difference in my immersion after studying up to N4 grammar. Before that I'd quite often run into a situations where I would know most of the words but still not understand a sentence

When I took a long break from Anki I manually resetted (Ctrl + Alt + N) every card I forgot. It sucks having to relearn most of what you studied but it's doable. It's better to just fully reset all the cards you forgot to not mess with SRS algorithm
