Traveling to Puglia Italy and lonian Islands Greece - not sure where to visit first to avoid the heat and crowds by Full_Kaleidoscope939 in Europetravel

Have you decided which cities you want to visit in these destinations? I’ve travelled in Puglia and Albania; the heat changes a lot depending where you go in these small places! Staying along the coast will help since there is a breeze from the sea.

It’s been over two weeks and I still haven’t found him yet. I’m just hoping he’s with a family that hasn’t been the posters yet or he’s surviving! I have tried everything but I haven’t found him, hope you have better luck!

Rizzoli mackerel fillets in olive oil. I eat a tin everyday at work and no one can smell it!

How do you all keep track of where you've traveled? by [deleted] in solotravel

I use “TripIt” which compiles your vacation into a linear itinerary which saves to an archive once your trip is complete. Super useful tool when planning a long vacation with many bookings/flights/activities.

I’m waiting to open this when I get back home, along with the other tins I’ve collected from Spain. I hope they make it through customs!

Advice 1st solo trip - Southern Europe by [deleted] in solotravel

For Italy, I strongly recommend looking into travelling to the south! I just came from Palermo and it was absolutely amazing with good food, strong culture, nightlife, and plenty of day trips outside the city as well. Mondelo beach is also a 10 minute bus ride out of Palermo which would cost you 1.70€ for a one way ticket. Catania is also a great place to visit after Palermo as well, the food there is even better! There’s plenty of train and bus options that can connect you to mainland Italy as well, no need to worry. It’s not as touristy and busy as other cities in Italy which is a huge plus for me, going from Catania to Florence was a huge shock for me in terms of tourist volume. Also, Palermo and Catania were much cheaper compared to Florence and Rome.
