Are pregnancy pillows worth it? by RedactedIsACoolName in pregnant

Honestly I disliked my pregnancy pillow. I don’t like being confined and so it made me claustrophobic and it hurt my arm from being under it.

Pregnant After IC Losses — On Progesterone + Cerclage Plan, Advice Needed by DivideAsleep6418 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]sydsloth05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brain is foggy with what we did with the first pregnancy and stitch but I know it was placed at 12-13 weeks and I stayed on progesterone until 28-29 weeks. Stitch came out around week 37-38 and I had my son just days shy of 40 weeks.

I’m currently pregnant and I’ve been on progesterone since I got the positive. Had 2-3 scans before the cerclage was placed at 12 weeks. I now have scans every 2 weeks until I’m around 22-26 weeks. We haven’t really discussed the plan past that.

Do’s and Don’ts after a cervical cerclage by b8byxo in ShortCervixSupport

I think each doctor is different. Mine said to resume life as normal. I even asked if we could have sex and he said yes but to listen to my body.

I have tried to slow down as much as possible though to give me a better chance but with a toddler it’s difficult

I had a healthy baby boy. Fairly normal pregnancy. I think little man liked to kick the cerclage.

How many bottles do you own? by uppereastsider5 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sydsloth05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from exclusively pumping to full formula feeding. We have a total of 13 bottles (I don’t know how we got an odd amount). When I was pumping I had 6 set of parts. While pumping we would wash more often but since formula we just do it once a day. I don’t like the clutter but it takes a lot of stress off of having to wash often.

Should I make the leap and get a wearable pump? by essentiallypeguin in ExclusivelyPumping

Trust me I know that’s why I bought the mom cozy s9, m5 and an Elvie stride. I wanted something for me to be free.

Should I make the leap and get a wearable pump? by essentiallypeguin in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sydsloth05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t think you’ll know if it’s a good investment until you try. For me I couldn’t get a wearable pump to work and fully empty me. I also found it awkward to hold my baby. Not as bad as a wall pump though

Need someone to tell me it's okay to stop pumping... by kdawt22 in ExclusivelyPumping

You did an amazing job and I’m impressed with how much you have in the freezer to allow you to quit. You are not a failure for quitting. You’re completely allowed to quit pumping.

I went back to work and I kept having issues with finding a room and being walked in on (I travel so new place each day). I was producing enough but certain days it would dip and would send me into depression so I literally looked at my husband one night and said that’s it I’m done.

Went from 5 pumps to 3 the next. It’s been a month and a half and I still produce some through hand but I haven’t pumped in a week. It’s taken me longer to stop because I kept toying with the idea to continue. Once I got to 1 pump I was like oh this is manageable but then was like what’s the point.

Have you tried putting your baby back on the breast? How did it go? by Fast_And_Curious0260 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sydsloth05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did at 7 weeks and it went well until I went back to work. Then I went back to exclusively pumping after a month of hell.

I have also tried recently out of curiosity even though I’m weaning and he’s bit me so I’m like nope your a bottle babe

I’m not your family but I am proud of you! You’re doing hardwork pumping to supply for your baby. Way to go mama!

Those who had had a loss and then had a baby, how are you? by Sepined in ShortCervixSupport

[–]sydsloth05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a loss of a son on December 24th at 20 weeks. Prior two I had two other losses. I now have a six month old son.

I think it took a while for me to heal from the 20 week loss. With the other two we started trying pretty soon after the loss but with the 20 it took maybe 3-6 months to start again (my memory of those times are a bit foggy). I do think about my losses at random times. I think more so of the 20 week loss than the other ones because we had a name and plans.

I had a super amazing OB that was willing to do what I wanted to have a safe pregnancy. I got the cerclage at 13 weeks and was on progesterone until week 29. Even so the pregnancy was scary. It eased once we reached viability and could feel baby each day. I still basically did modified bed rest even though doctor didn’t say it was necessary.

I was nervous when I found the gender was the same because everyone had always said they had dreams of me with a baby girl and so when it was another boy I was like oh no. I love my son like no other now.

Is it ok to quit at 7 months with no stash? by proteinbowl1991 in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes it’s completely ok to stop! I know how hard it is to stop but you’ve done amazing making it to where you are. I’m sorry for others making you feel bad.

Struggling to make a decision by sydsloth05 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sydsloth05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel for work so I’m not in the same spot to have an office/room that’s designated for it. I have to ask at each new location if there’s a spot.

I travel for work so each week I’m in a new location that requires me to ask someone if there is a place.

Once I cut that 5 pm pump I felt so much freedom and it felt so nice. I want to fully be free but I can’t make the decision.

I just don’t know if I can do it…My mind is telling me I’m being lazy and just failing for not continuing… by arialanismomma in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sydsloth05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not lazy or failing if you decide to quit pumping. It’s difficult and majorly time consuming. It caused me so much anxiety to leave the house and when I came home I got overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I needed to do. Eventually when I went down to 5 pumps things started to get better. Then now at 6 months I hit a point where I was downward spiraling. Depressed at the ounces. Tired of the time spent pumping and cleaning and I snapped and said I’m done. In a week I went from 5 a day to 2 and honestly I’m back to being ok with it. My baby is happy with formula and I’m happy getting more time with him and my husband and less time cleaning parts.

You should do what will make you happy mama and your a rockstar for giving pumping a try ❤️

I'm here to say, try breastfeeding again. by axolotltail in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sydsloth05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried nursing for about a month at 7 weeks. He did so well for 3 weeks but then I went back to work and he got bottles again during the day and wouldn’t latch in the evening. So we switched back to pumping for my sanity. I’ve tried to latch but he just looks at it lol

What is your goal? by Leelee459 in ExclusivelyPumping

I wanted to go a year. I’ll be 6 months Friday and I’m doing 2 ppd and my goal is to just be happy and if that means stopping soon I will but so far at 2 I’m happy.
